Gosh Angie, I got those 5 years ago and the woman who managed the ranch ordered them. I think you need to measure the bottome of the hoof from front to back and side to side at the widest parts. Then I believe you use those measurements in determining what size boot your horse needs. I THINK. If you have those measurements on hand then perhaps you could speak to a rep of the company you are ordering from. Even if you get them somewhere else I bet you could find some company where you could get some advice about them. That's about all I know to tell you. Hope you are doing well. I sure enjoyed our coffee time.:) Stay in touch. Karen

Hi Angie--ok, the Huddle House it is at 3:00. I will be driving a silver Toyota Matrix. I think I will recognize you from your photo on this site.
That's the time of day when I need a cup of coffee so this is great. See you there! Karen

Hi Angie-Well, will it ever stop raining??? We were going to try to ride yesterday aft. but it was so wet on the Mon. ride that we figured all the puddles would be just that much bigger. We are supposed to try again this aft. but I think it is still going to be too wet. Anyway, would you like to try to meet Thursday after school? If somewhere in Crump is more convenient I can go there but I don't know what is there so you would have to tell me where to meet....or we could try the Toll House in Savannah. Whatever is more convenient with you. Just let me know place and time and we will try yet again! :) Have a great day Angie! Karen

Hi Angie--Well, the 18th was my birthday and my husband surprised me and drove out so I will be with him over the weekend. What does your schedule look like next week? I got to ride Tues. and Thurs. this week and rode a beautiful trail nearby...not real long but still nice. We were lucky - the clouds parted just long enough for us to get in a short ride.:) Let me know what the coming week looks like for you! Karen

Hi Antie--Tomorrow is fine with me. How about around 2:00p.m.? The after-church crowd should be pretty well thinned out by then and we could just relax and chat. Or if earlier or later is better for you just let me know! Karen

Hi Angie-Sorry, I have had to run around a lot the last couple days. I am selling my 2.5 year old paint filly and the buyer is coming tomorrow a.m. We have been working on trailer loading/unloading with her. She and Spirit had a bit of a cough during our ride yesterday aft. So I checked with my vet and today was a run to the vet and disinfecting feeders and water tanks. Vet thinks it is probably allergies as the cough, which isn't often, is the only symptom so they are on allergy capsules now. Tomorrow will be tough as this is the only foal I have ever had. So would tomorrow aft. or some time on Sunday be better for you?? If you are going to Florence to visit with your boyfriend then we can meet on Monday. My schedule is pretty open so just let me know. I thought we could meet in Savannah at the Toll House Restaurant and have a coffee or tea and chat. What do you think? Just let me know. Thanks! Karen

Hi Angie--Hope you had a good Labor Day weekend. My husband and I worked on clearing protruding/low hanging branches from the newly bladed trail on my front acreage. Came back sore and covered with chigger bites but it was worth it. I hope to run the old riding lawn mower over the middle of it today. Where would you like to meet?? Just let me know. Looking forward to it! Karen

Hi Angie-Sorry, I got a little tied up with things here at home. Later in the week next week would be good. My husband is coming for the Labor Day weekend and we will be focused on the never-ending"to do" list. I work at home so no interference with my schedule there. A man at the co-op told me there is a tack auction at Scott's Hill the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. I think the second Sat. is new tack and the fourth Sat. is used tack. I believe he said it starts around 5 p.m. I've never been so that is about all I know about it and I don't know where Scott's Hill is except you head toward Clifton on 128 and keep going until it intersects with ?? and then go left and watch for the signs. You may be able to find someone who knows much more about it. Where would you like to meet? Would Savannah be sort of in the middle between Adamsville and Counce? Well, you think about it and we can chat about it some more after the Labor Day Weekend. Look forward to meeting you.! Karen

Hi Angie-I've only lived here a couple years but I understand from my neighbor that there are lots of trails nearby. I also have permission to ride on the sod farm behind me and they are just now putting in a dirt road all the way around the farm and we could ride on that as well. My neighbor just got a paso fino but she hasn't taken it out on a ride yet. She is 82 but she's been riding since she was 2 and she's in good shape. She knows where all the trails are. My quarter horse is a gelding and my newest one, my spotted saddle horse, is a gelding as well. We could meet somewhere or you would be welcome to come here. Karen

Hi Angie-You are my kind of rider! I am not the get on the 'ol horse and go tearing off somewhere. I like a nice, calm ride. You are much younger but it is no fun to get hurt at any age and at my age you don't mend as quickly.:) I'm in Counce, 5 miles from Pickwick Dam and the State Park. I don't have a truck or a trailer to haul my horse anywhere. What kind of horse to you have? Mare? Gelding? I'd love to learn more about you and perhaps we could meet sometime without the horses just to get acquainted. We just took our last daughter off to MTSU last Friday so I am an "empty-nester". Just let me know. Thanks for contacting me. This website is all new to me so I'm trying to learn my way around. Karen

Angie, you do need help. You need to contact your Ag Extention Service an ask them if you have a saddle club in your area. If you do contact them and they will help you out. Go to there shows and ask a few people, and they will know who to talk to. They may have an Educational person that can help you, with your horse. I have other suggestions but I will think about first. Lucy

I have not rode much either in several years. But i really want to. I rode at chickasaw years ago. I heard they have done some work there. Do they still have el and water hookups? And they have a bathhouse, right? Chickasaw is just as close as Natchez for me. Just got coggins on the horses Sat so they should be back soon. I remember a bridge that kinda was a challenge. Are you familar with the trails? I can do chickasw, no problem.
