HI Jackie, This is Michele, I was next to you at the Long C ride last weekend. Great meeting you! You're close enough to me that we can maybe go ride together sometime!! Let me know if you'll be coming to the strolling jim ride on Oct 10th.
Also... I left some buckets up at Long C, and Jack said you get there often.. do you know when you'll be going again?
Keep in touch,
Michele

Hi Jackie...how's it going? Hope you are well, can you believe how quickly this year has flown by???? I saw that you are thinking about attending the Women on the Edge ride Sat @ Catoosa Ridge, have you decided yet??? I will be there weather permitting, it looks like Friday and Sat are going to be good. I'm thinking about going up to BSF on Friday and riding then heading out after the ride on Sat. Hope to see you. Vicki

I took my 2 yr old and the 15 yr old swimming at an old dam on Memorial Rd, aka Lebenon Rd, aka some hwy. lol. The dam is right before Walter Hill school on the right. It is pretty deep above the dam and there is plenty of shelter and grass to let them relax at. it is the only place around here that I know of to swim and ride. I am too new here to know anything else.

Hi Jackie
I forget I am on this site so I forget to post here. I am off to Honey Creek BSF for Labor Day weekend. I did not know there were trails to ride on at the airforce base. How did you find that out. Must be nice and flat for a lot of gaiting? I would love to try it with you but do not like getting lost for hours on end. We do need to get together and ride again.

Jackie, if someone is on the line it just rings. My son was probably using it. He is leaving today on a trip to MS to see his brother for a few days. Try me again tonight. We will meet to ride on site at 10 and we do bring lunch. You can meet me at the BP on hwy 50/Tom Hitch coming into Columbia from Lewisburg at 9. My cell is: 931-334-4399 and home: 931-840-6107. My truck is in the shop and Is supposed to be ready for me to pick up after lunch. The only reason I will not ride is if it is not ready.
Blessings, Linda

Jackie, where Adrianne was talking about swimming is at the Duck River just outside of Columbia. It has several names. Yanahli is the new official name, the sign on hwy 50 says,Duck River Trail System and we locals call it Fountain Creek. From I 65 take exit 37 this is Columbia/Lewisburg, turn West toward Columbia, go about 4 miles and you will see the sign on your right. The river is in the back about half way around, a good place to take a break. You can find maps on TWRA's website. Just follow the maps link to region II.

Hi Jackie
I had to stop posting on there because there were some hard feelings on a neighbors part that read something I wrote and he took it wrong. Men sometimes can be sensitive if they think you are bad mouthing them which I was not. He made up what he thought I said to suit what he heard in his head. Thus this being the second time I was spied on my non members and taken out of context so I decided not to post anymore. Glad to see you here for sure !!!!

Jackie, I have no idea. I have heard from friends who have been there that it is great but you have to have a guide, the trails are not marked. Do you prefer to ride during the week or would you like a Sat. ride? I know we would have more go on a Sat for the first time. I even have friends from AL who are on this site who would like to go but they work during the week. Maybe you Sheila and I can get together for a ride during the week next week somewhere. I am headed to a friends in AL today and riding Bankhead tomorrow. My friends there say the Faye Whitmore farm is better than Bankhead. We can camp there. Do you have a way to camp or do you day ride only? Oh, they do have a cabin also.
Blessings, Linda

Primm Springs is about 20 mi west of Columbia. It is way off the beaten path (someone has to take you at first). Beautiful really old dirt roads through the hills with creeks crossing back and forth and heavy wooded. You feel as if you went back in time about 100 yrs, except for cars do come through parts and 4 wheelers like it also. You are welcome to come ride with us. We live in Maury Co. but ride all over. Feel free to call me at home: 931-840-6107. I am trying to get a ride up for Monteagle during the week. I do not ride with people drinking alcohol, just want to be up front about that. I care for my horse to much as well as others. I like a variety of riding but nothing really dangerous for my horse or myself. Check out my page pics.
Blessings, Linda

You can camp at Red Oak at Dale Hollow, but it's primative (really primative. LOL) Just looking at your comments from Lucy below. Do you know Lynn Adcock??? I used to ride with her a lot. We were neighbors for about 8 years. Funny how these sites reconnect people. Do you want to ride one day next week? I am sorry your friend Lucy didn't have a good time at Normandy. Most of the rough hills can be avoided if you want to ride easier. I sometimes ride around the top then drop off to the water's edge and ride the lower trail back in. Oh well. Normandy is usually a Sunday afternoon ride for me.

Did you ride with Lynn Adcock at Cordell, or did you go to college at MTSU in the horse field. Or where do you work. We will figure it out.

Hey, Murfreesboros'. I am from McMinnville, Me and my pal we are recoupin, from shoer's shod. I hate when I get burn, by shoer's who don't listen. I got friends they are married but Girls just got get out, and ride. After this 4 th weekend we can see about a trail you can go to. Walter Hill is okay rocky but hay ever where you go is rocky. I been to Normandy, didn't like that either we went when it was so dry, the rocks rolled under our horses feet. Very hilly. By the time you get down one you got go back up. Rediculous.
We have been To Circle E last summer, over night. We liked that one. We have been to Franklin Forrest, Mount Eagle Mountain, Near there firetower, it off the old road going to South Pittsburg highway. Been to Big South Fork stayed at *Bandy Creek 3, Timber Ridge, *Saddle Valley Campgroundand 2 times and at *Zenith Campground. The Star means trails are good and different location. Good people and prices are reasonable. And of course we have been at East Fork Stables I have been there alot. Cordell Hallow I have been there with some Smithville crowds. You can get in the water their with your horse. I rode in Smokey mountains when I was a going for a job. But that was many years ago before I got another horse. Some times you got just call each other and make a plan to go. When my other friends go we chip in dinner together, when I made Irish dinner neither one had ever heard or had Corn Beef and Cabbage w/ potatos. So Mircowave dish suprise! That was at East Fork Stable in March and it was chilly weekend. Well talk to you later. Lucy
