Hey girl! How the heck are you? What on earth got you over to TWH?

I lost Sun (TWH) back in 2001 and then I lost Chica August 2009. In my pics you can see my latest baby. He's a lineback dun Quarter horse. I'll be taking him over to Josh Lyons in a few weeks to let them ride him for me. I've gotten a bit too old to mount one for the first time. Besides he's abt 16 hands tall. Way too far to the ground for me. I've gotten too old to bounce when I hit the ground. Nowadays I'd just go "Splat" so I figure I'll let the pros start him under saddle for me.

  Whatever happened to Troupadour?

  Catch me up to date.

Hi Carol, believe it or not, I just came through your neck of the woods today. I am off work Friday-Sunday. I seldom go on a ride that I have to pay to get in, I prefer to do low budget riding locally. Do you have gaited or non gaited horses? We have gaited walking horses. I met a really nice lady yesterday by the name of Dorothy Russell who is also looking for trail buddies. We need to hook up somewhere and ride!

I'd like to start by telling you how GORGEOUS your horse is!(The gray) Nothing beats a white face! We use our 4 wheeler mostly for chores. Cleaning stalls and stuff. We use our horses for FUN!! We ride at Normandy most Sundays....unless it's too hot. (Which has been the case the last 3 Sundays!) It's killing me not to ride! But I read that when the humidity and the temperature add up to 150 or more, it's just not safe for them. But I'm about to break down and just take it easy and bring plenty of ice to cool them down (and lots of breaks!) . If you ever want to ride there with us, I'd be happy to show you around!

You are very welcome! I enjoyed giving you guys some tips and if you found them helpful all the better. If you get the chance watch the two videos that we have on here. One of Michael and Stoney and one of Me and Kody. David said that he was really feeling inspired to get more into Parelli after Saturday. Anytime you guys want t talk about stuff just drop us a line.

Amelia Island is about 13 miles long. they have rental agencies but I prefer to take my own horse. there is a resturant on the beach and you can tie up there and go in for a great meal or sit on the pavilion and have a few drinks and watch the waves.

OMG!!! MY boy also gets in the trough and kicks and splashes.... I had to get a drain plug de-icer so he would not be able to take it out and play with it... the other one that sat in the trough in a small cage - he flipped it out all the time - it was funny but exasperating at the same time....

Jeanine. I wanted to let you know that I converted the gift card to senior feed and grain at TSC. They helped us stretch by throwing in some items as well. I delivered all of the supplies that day, and they took the salt directly and began using it while I was there. Thanks for giving a hand. Mike
