Hi Sam--Welcome back. I've missed you. Hope you're doing well. Give me a call sometime so we can make some time to ride sooooooooooon. 931-761-2131 I'm hoping for a really good riding year. Happy trails, Mary
Thank you for the invite, Sam! We'd love to ride with you sometime soon! There are a variety of riders in our little group - some ride gaited horses (like me) and some ride Quarter horses. Some ride western, some ride English - but we are all a pretty good ole group who say "yeeehah!" when we get to ride. LOL ;-) -- We have ridden at BSF at the Station Camp HOrse camp trailhead (it was nice, and the trails were nice as well. There was a variety of scenery. Also went to Bandy Creek (nice trail to Charit Lodge), Honey Creek (nice scenery with Needles Eye, but challenging trails which I like anyway). Have not stayed at Zenith, Eastfork, TrueWest, Saddlevalley or Timber Ridge yet. Sometime I would like to do a backcountry camp and trail ride if anyone is interested. We did that in the Smokies, and it was fun (though you have to watch for bears).
I cannot go until after the 13th or so. I took Hubby on a long ride one day and he admitted to me later that he kinda (sigh) hated it. Also, the kids are still a bit young to be on horses on the trail IMO. So, I have been trying to find other folks to ride with. It is okay with me to get away a little anyway. (:
sam got mess. this morning, camp sights are 20.00 a nite stalls are 15.00 a nite i wont charge u any trail fees for the weekend. i would srill like for you to give me a call if you would.theres some things i like to talk to you about . we dont have a shower house yet, but i will see to it you and your son gets showers. i'll let youll use the one here at my house. office 706-539-2517 or 423-463 1782 youll come visit with us and i'll make it worth your wild. thks ben at saultopaul.
Ever ride at East Fork? That would be easier for me. I can possibly get my husband to drop us off there since he has the truck. He wont show me how to hook the trailer up...can't imagine why.............
Thanks ..he is handsom isn't he :) I dont know of any for sale off hand but if I come across one I will holler at you. Romeo is the "best" horse I have ever owned and there has been quite a few. Took me years to find him. He will never leave here!!
Hey Sam! Where are you guys going to be at BSF? I've still got more going on here than I can stand, but I'd love to get away and ride either Sat or Sun. I'll haye to ride my fat spotted horse since my little mare's foot is just barely healed enough to turn her out without a bandage. He's a tough little booger, but pretty out of shape. If you're gonna ride from a trailhead I can pull to for the day, I might be able to get up there to join you.
Now that I'm feeling like a human bean again I've got lots to do around here, too. I have my friend Tina coming to help me some this AM. Sounds good to camp next weekend. I was about to think I was never going to feel better. I was getting discouraged. Can I hitch a ride with you from your place? Can Gypsie come, too? Get with me and give me some more details. Looking forward to meeting some other people as well.
Hi Sam---Why don't you plan to drive over sometime and see my horses? I have 2 trail broke horses for sale. Bring your son and let him take a look, too. Are we going to Big Creek anytime soon? or Saultopaul? or back to BSF?
Sam, thanks for the invite...sorry can't make the ride this time but you all have a great time! Just got back yesterday from BSF, the weather was wonderful, guess we got back just in time. Thanks for all your effort putting this together, maybe next time. I'm going to check out the new place in Clarkrange soon Cattoosa Ridge, lots of riding backs up to Cattoosa Wildlife - it does have camping and few cabins to rent. Only about an hour and 15 from Lenior City. Maybe that could be a possiblity for another ride. Vicki
