Thank you so much. I'll be adding some new images and removing some soon. The web master has added a bunch of new features I need to work up. I love shooting old barns, architecture, and scenery. (And horses)
Thanks for the compliment ... My wife delivered mail on a route adjacent to yours on Weidrick Rd. and I had several customers in Cambier Rd. Every now and then I'd end up helping the courier in Marion. I think I know pretty much where you lived. I have a friend who still works for FedEx who lives on Sandhill Road in Marion and we used to visit them often. When you were in Marion did you know and Spencer's ... Bud and Margaret, Amy,Lisa,Terry,Glen,Stephen,Mark?
We lived in Macedon in Trapbrook off Erie St. for nearly 30 years but were both raised in Dallas when we were kids. Having thousands of acres to wander on a horse is fantastic! We have 600 behind us that is owned by different folks and most of them welcome horses but not ATV's. It's dense and dangerous but we have cleared ours out pretty well. If you like to camp you might look into Bucksnort Trail Ride ... 2500 acres available and a lot of fun. We are about 25minutes on the back roads from Bucksnort. Want to see some more pictures from other places I have been check out my web site ... www.yellowcreekphoto.com
Well heck ... I have been looking at your pictures for a long time and didn't realize you were a Yankee neighbor all those years! Don't be surprised ... we may trailer out to Sparta and ride in your driveway! lol
Denise, thank you for your kind words of support. This has been a very busy week for me as I help in Mule Day, which is actually all week long and then held Johnny's Memorial Service yesterday afternoon. I look forward to riding with you. I am leaving Saturday for a week long ride in Missouri and will not have internet access until I return. How did your ride go on your new horse? I love my boy but for the first two years I owned him I thought I had made a mistake and almost sold him. Now money cannot buy him. He is 10 and my trail buddy.
Blessings, Linda
Oh - Oh! Denise -- When I first started looking at your pictures, I thought -- WOW --I LOVE that bay horse! But by the time I looked at all of them and then your website, I forgot to say that. LOL I was very attracted to him. He is gorgeous...that is such a touching story how he came to be yours..
Denise you have some lovely Spots! And for sure you are 'worse' than I am with all your horses. It sounds like you are waaaay busy and happy. I enjoyed your pictures. Where's your Rocky?
I know what you mean about too good to be true. I thought it might be a hoax. What are the chances that an ad on Craigs list and LSN would have different phone numbers and that both were incorrect? I really feel it was meant to be and blessed to have them in our care. They were a "gift" I needed right now even though I was not looking for it. We ride at Grandville, Catoosa, Long C and hope to get to BSF and East Fork soon. Ya gotta believe for a weather change! Happy trails. (soon!)
great to hear that the horses are in good shape.they looked good in the pictures.
I wanted to call about them but the deal sounded to good to be true.I ride at big south fork,Zenith, circle e,many cedars, seven springs etc.can hardly wait for the weather to break so we can get back to riding.
Hey Denise--There are a few of us going to zenith campground which is on the Rugby side of BSF. Have you ever ridden there? Why don't ya'll join us ? It will be Friday-Sunday or longer.
Bless you for taking your friend's Rocky. If he's a ridin' horse, you could ride him with us some time - Lin and Dan both ride mountain horses. I couldn't go meet Joyce and friends on Memorial Day 'cause of all the stuff going on, but she told me that Roger had shoulder surgery. Ouch! Glad he's doing better. Gotta get down and see your "herd" one of these days. Keep in touch. One of these days we might actually get to leave home for a few minutes (LOL).
Hey Denise! Give me a shout when you're gonna be up this way. Asparagus has been really good this year. Made me think about you guys being here last spring. I talked to Ron today and he was longing for asparagus. I sent some to the crew who got to ride at BSF last weekend, but I didn't get to ride 'cause my mare has a cut foot and I've been in doctoring mode. Ron is on this site. He asked about you not long ago. Wondered if I'd kept in touch with the gal who played guitar and sang at my house. Hope all is well with you guys! See you soon.
