Because events are listed chronologically, when you post it in the EVENTS section it will move to the top of the list of events as it gets closer to it's date. Everyone will see it as it approached, whereas, when you post it as a forum it will move "down the list" as more forum discussions are posted.

Oh by the way, typing in capital letters designates that you are SHOUTING and is considered inappropriate unless, of course, your intention is to shout. ;-)
