Tell us something about you, anything.
Firstly, I am a horse woman through and through. I would rather be at the barn cleaning and with my horses than at the house cleaning. I would rather be on horseback than in my car. I have always been like this since I can remember. When I was young, I hated Barbie and played with Dusty and her horse Nugget and Bryer model horses. I believe in horsemanship. I am just looking for rides, however, I have a block wall that stops me many times and that is the fact that I don't have access to a truck. I have a small 2 horse bumper pull with no truck.
I am a full time student working on my bachelors with two children still at home. My oldest is in college working on her bachelors in nursing and is married with their first child.

I also train horses and take in rescues because I cannot stand to see a horse suffer. Shakespear said, "God forbid that I go to a heaven in which there are no horses."

Update..

I know I haven't been on much at all lately, but things are pretty hectic. I live in Murfreesboro now. My husband never found any work in Texas so he moved back her. My step daughter moved back here and brought her Texas boyfriend, but he just moved back to Texas. My horses are in a great place. My black mare that I always talked about...well, I had to put her down last year at this time.  It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. It was so sad because her colt kept nipping at her…

Tough Spot and in desperate need of help!

I thought I had my horse situation straightened out, but alas, I don't. What was supposed to be done isn't and I have fed 30 bales of hay in a month and 6 bags of grain for horses that are supposed to be on pasture. My mare with a foal has lost a tremendous amount of weight and I need to find pasture for them. I have two of my horses up for sale and am probably going to give one of them away soon. I just want to keep my lame mare and foal. I can do fencing, albeit, I have used most of the… Continue

Trials and Tribulations of an Unconventional M.T.S.U. Student

7/6/09

I thought I would start posting some of the c.r.a.p. that keeps going on in my life. I would love to find out if anyone else has the bad luck I do, lol.

Husband couldn't find job, he left and moved to Texas. Can't talk for he says there isn't cell phone reception where he is at. One week after he left my truck broke down, I crushed my pinky toe (that hurts!), found out my almost 2 mo. old colt has an umblical hernia (but vet says he should be ok and to watch it) and still… Continue

Sad Week in the Walking Horse Industry

The Walking Horse had a true champion pass away last week March 18. Alene Parks passed away of natural causes in her home. She died doing what she loved to do. She had just returned from clipping her mare and cleaning the barn when she sat down on the couch and died. She was declared dead later at Hartmon Hospital in Tullahoma surrounded by her children, husband step grandchildren and her only great grandchild, and her daughter and son in laws. She will be sorely missed by the hundreds who knew… Continue
