Hey Temple! I finally put rear shoes on my horse. I'm using boots on his front. Let me know when you can go riding. Maybe Mary can join us too. I look forward to meeting some folks to ride with! Great Fort Mtn. photo, I can't believe I haven't ridden any of the many trails around here yet.
Yes, a trail ride planned ahead would be a good idea. It would be a real help to me to ride with someone familiar with the trails. I suspect it would be about a 2 hr. drive for me, but I can handle that. Thanks for your response. Happy trails.
I ordered equiflex nail on poly shoes for his rear hooves. I will probably use boots on the front. Thanks for your reply. I've been trying to find someone to ride with for quite some time. I'll contact you just as soon as I get the shoes on him.
Hi Temple! I've only had a chance to get my 3 YO gelding out with other horses a couple of times and I'm not too keen on going out in the woods by myself any more, especially on a green horse. I hope to put shoes on him early next week, (waiting for them to arrive in the mail), then we will be ready for the trails. Are you able to ride during the weekdays at all?
