Missing her horses

Sonja is giving up her Horses for 4 days only. She will be snowmobiling in Utah. Gonna miss those 4 legged creatures. Something about that sanity check, guaranteed. No stress when you are camping no waiting to get thru security.

Ready for the smell of roasted coffee in the cool, crisp morning air, clear sunny days, campfires under the stars, my only riding days are Sunday & Monday. Rusty is going to help me on the weekends, while he finishes up his last year at State

Hey Sonja...hope you got to spend lots of saddle time this weekend. We were so busy my but never hit the saddle. I would love a Buckskin they are among my favorite along with the tri-colored spotted, heck I now that I think about it they are all my favorites! Your black girl is looking beautiful...I wanted to tell you that my friend that has a Freisian gives him a product called Black as Night it prevents color wash out. She says it works great, just a little pricey. Looks like maybe someone got a new puppy???? Oh...wanted to ask about where you found your Mini-aussie. If you know of a good breeder, I would love the info. What do you think about the personality compared to the standard? Would love your input. Until later.

I'm with you about the bulkiness! I think that's because we are Quarter horse girls! Both my boys have nice chests and rears, which I like. My husband tells me I want everything to look like a QH! You were smart to get a black horse, those Black and whites are hard to keep clean. Have a great day.

Hey Sonja...responding to the message that you left last week on Happy Hoofers -looks like you are the ringleader???? Would love to meet up with you girls at some point when you get over into Tn. I'm very flexible with my schedule. I do have a cabin in BSF maybe we could put a group together up there, I'm sure you know all the places with hook-ups etc. Sounds like you girls have LQ trailers, I'm starting to think that's the ticket! I have 3 campsites with hookups also, something to ponder. Even if the group got too big, I could help coordinate other places to stay if needed. Great pictures, looks like you girls have a great time! Oh... are those your great looking dogs???
I love tri-colored dogs any breed, what kind are they? I'm usually pretty good at identifying, but couldn't really tell if they are Aussie's or Swissy's or???? Like you said it would be nice to put some faces with the names. Well that's it for now, let me know your thoughts -headed to the barn while the weather is nice. Vicki

Wow! Your in another state! You must get around. Really enjoyed looking at your pictures. My horse is part draft and I'm finally figuring out I'll probably have to go to gaited to keep up with everyone. Talk to you later.

Sonja-loved Shawnee, plan to return this year. Would like to stay somewhere other than Bear Branch. If you have any suggestions, let me know. We unfortunately did not get to swin at Indian Kitchen. The drought was so bad that all of the creeks and waterfalls were dry and Indian Kitchen did not enough water to swin in. We could see where there is usually a waterfall coming down into, but there was no water! We are going back this year and hope that it is better.
Love your pics by the way!

Sonja,

Thanks for writing back. We are apprximately 65 miles south of Nashville and about 2.5 hours from Knoxville. We are relatively new to TN, only been here about 1 1/2 years. We ride every chance God gives us and actually have 3 semi-big rides scheduled this year: Big Creek in Missouri, one here in the Smokie Mountains of TN and a third in Shawnee, IL. My husband is my primary riding buddy, but we have a 20 year old son in college, who will ride with me if I ask, but is in to other things as well. If you're ever over this direction, let me kmow and maybe we can get together for a ride.
