In retirement I became a professional photographer and although I have taken pictures around the world I find myself interested in equine photography, including rodeo and horse portraits. I also enjoy photographing horses acting like ... well ... horses in the wild.
Aside from that I enjoy riding a Harley (not as much as riding a horse), running away from the grand children, and dodging bullets. Life is too short to be pissy!
Please note your farm, ranch or business website address if you would like to.
well I checked out your website...very nice! I especially liked the barn photos. I know the Alloway barn! A local artist from where I came from in NY, Richard Ware did water colors. He especially liked painting very old barns and country farm scenes. I have several of his paintings and I love them. I also have a book "Barns of the Genesee" which has photos of some of the most beautiful barns of the Genesee Valley in NY. I enjoyed your website. You have done some amazing work.
You are most welcome to come up and share our little corner of paradise up here on the plateau. I am hoping for some decent weather soon so we can hit the trails. The new property we just bought which adjoins the Getaway Ranch has some awesome trails and the potential for many more. We plan to connect into other trails out here where we have permission to ride. there are thousands of acres with trails on this section of the lake. I used to live on Weidrick Rd in Macedon with a Walworth mailing. We were near Gananda but not in it. Small world, eh? My last residence in NY was in the town of Palmyra with a Marion mailing and Newark School district on Cambier Rd. P.S. I have a very dear friend in Lyons ; Nancy Edelstein. By the way you are very talented in photography, not a gift I share! Roger takes our photos. ; )
Christy just put together a HUGE collage of all the pictures I have taken of her along with many her Gramma took throughout the years. She would probably like to have the one you took.
I would love to come out and meet up with you all and take some pictures and watch some of your saddle club competitors. My cameras go with me everyplace I go as a rule but I am not in it to make a living so I'll probably shoot and give more that I will shoot and sell.
Shoot me an e-mail at yellowcreekphoto@ hughes.net with your phone number and I'll return with mine ... hope we can at least meet and talk photography and horses.
Hi Richard....Thanks for all the comments..Yes I live my dream everyday..I'm thinking of retiring but just can't give up my lifestyle. I'll be 67 this year and still in very good health. I have a daughter and 2 grandsons who live in Dickson. This TTR site is so good for horse, country living people. Keep in touch and happy trails....
Hey, yeah Ed works right beside me in the post office. I bet you know Randal Riley, he lives on union road, I think. He works with us too. He's one of those "ole city carriers". lol Maybe I'll see you on the trail one of these days, I can't wait for warm weather, my little horse needs riding.
