Hi Bambi! Sorry I missed you when I visited your place the other day to observe your husband in his training. The visit was productive and I believe his training methods on on the mark with my own philosophy. I'd like to check back on Lucky's progress after he has a few more hours under saddle. Seemed he made lots of progress in the one lesson I observed. I'd be comfortable having him take charge of Scatman's training after he matures a bit more. Tell him thanks for me. Happy trails and God Bless, Masry
Thanks Bambi--I certainly like the concept of allowing the owner to be involved in the training process. I'm afraid my 2 experiences with trainers were disappointing. Their philosophy seemed to be to take short cuts and work up and down a closed hallway. My input was totally disregarded so far as what I wanted them to accomplish with my horses. Therefore I've never been comfortable about turning one of my precious babies over to someone else. Alas, my health is not going to allow me to do my own training, but hopefully riding will be a certain possibility. Formal training I've had as a rider was English huntseat. I have friends who live down that way, Patty and Russel Talent. Also some of the riding area I want to explore and lay some new trails on is near there. I'll give you a call before I come so you can give me directions. Looking forward to meeting you and your husband.
Hi Bambi--I live in the Cassville Community of White Co. and have several horses. I'm interested in learning more about your husbands training methods, etc. I'd like to come for a visit sometime when the weather is decent and it is convenient. 761-2131
Hi there sweetie, how the heck are you two doing over there. We live so close but so far away. Hope all is well and by the way, I am getting a kink in my neck looking at that picture of yours....hahahaha...have a good one :-)
Howdy Bambi, thanks for joining Tennessee Trail Riders. We look forward to your "horsey" pictures that you can post and share with others on our website. Also try your hand at posting events, videos and trail ratings. Feel free to invite friendly trail riders and horse lovers.
We've got lots of couples on this site who ride together, I hope you guys can hook up with some trail ridin' partners.
How ironic, my wife and I are going to Ireland in April and plan to ride horses there but know very little about it...I would love to hear more and get some recommendations from you.
Cheers and happy trails,
