I am a amateur owning horses for about 7 or so years. I went riding with my farrier "natural hoof" when he said something along the lines "when I learn how to ride". At that time I was feeling a little insulted as I was having a blast sitting on my horse and not falling off. He showed me an entirely different world starting with Dorance's book, "True Horsemanship Through Feel". Then on to Buck and others who all have something to offer equine enthusiast. I never knew how to communicate with my horses. He has spent two years working with me on horsemanship. I am doing so much better handling my horses, my mare hooks right on me and is great but very hormonal and difficult at times, my others are in training and I am giving it my best shot. However, my confidence and training has made my riding much more enjoyable.

I have a rescue horse that needs a home.  I want him to go to a natural horsemanship environment.  He is a beautiful gelding that is very smart but sensitive and needs a patient, kind & talented trainer.  He is an easy keeper, UTD on vaccines & coggins, stands for farrier, trailer loads.  He is currently just a pasture ornament & can stay that way if I can't find a good home, but I think he has a lot of potential and could be a good horse for someone.  The vet thinks he is 6-8 years old but unsure of the bred.  If interested please call or text 615-456-7779.

Is anyone interested in having a playdate in the Cookeville/ Crossville area?    If there's enough interest I'd be happy to locate an arena or location suitable to host it.    In this winter weather I NEED to do *someting* with my horse!!!    lol

Hi Mary, yes I think we need to plan something somewhere. I'm ready to go most anywhere in middle TN, been riding my paso fino saddleless bridaless and shoeless lately, about to get some boots for him because he's acting a bit tender on rough gravel.

Yes Buck Brannamen is a natural horseman, he is one of the first that started the trend of natrual horsemanship

I've seen him work, I think he is mostly at least,, wether he uses the term for himself or not I don't know.

I have all your CD's.........I love how your music crosses over to jazz, country, etc. and reflects all the emotions of horse lovers when we interact with our horses, even cleaning stalls! Thank you for putting words and music to all the feelings I have for my horses.

Mary Ann,
Josh Guin gave me a copy of your CD with "Barn Cat" and "I wish I had a horse" on it. Since then I have listened to it several times and am buying copies for my grandchildren, who love horses too!
