Where'd the name come from?

A friend of John Oliver's came up with that name on a weekend trip to honey creek last November. No one knows where it came from but it stuck! LOL

so what kinda corn do ya'll use? I've been growin mandan bride for a couple years but it hasn't done the best, we may be too far south for it sence it's a dakota indian corn. Had some loony corn (local white) bloody bucher and reids yellow dent a few years back but I may have lost that seed, been too long sence i grew it. I think I'm gonna try gourd seed corn next year, it sounds like a good one for flavor and yeald. In betwen we buy clean feed corn for milling but the flavor of the old varietys are much better. I gotta start growing a years supply.
I grew sorgum last year, didn't this year cause we had plenty left. Nothin beats a cornbread and bean dinner with sorgum dressing.
I mill it with a CS Bell milpa mill with a 10 hp electric motor on it.
