Hello Happy Hoofers! I am a 53 y/o married lady who loves to ride with my gang of married friends. My husband rides, but with our schedules (I work 12 hour days, he works 12 hour nights) we don't always get to ride together. Thank goodness for friends to ride with. You all sound very much like my other gang, S.H.O.T. We love to go riding, camping, and just hanging around the campfire discussing the fun we had that day. Thanks for letting me join...a girl can never have too many riding friends!

Welcome Billie, you will find nothing but sincerity with a twist of passion and heartfelt friends here. Some of us started with a trip across one mountain but since that day we have put in alot of miles on horseback and put back alot of memories in the heart. We make moments that make you chuckle to yourself after a ride cause you remember. I have been sitting at work and smile one of those smiles people wonder what is she thinking. Maybe our paths will cross. Love Tn planning a ride at Buffalo River Waynesboro, Tn in Oct.

I have been to Emmience Mo, is Big Creek like that? We like to ride all day and have some activities at night, be it a dance, karoke. Sitting by the fire with gal pals is great but when you go for a week you want other things to do also. Have you ridden at Bucksnort/ That was the other ride we were thinking about going on.

Buffalo River is ok but nothing spectacular like BSF or Shawnee. If you want a 10+ adventure I recommend Big Creek Trail Ride in Missouri. They have a web site: big creek trail rides. We have a group from here that goes and it really is excellent riding and the people and food can't be beat either. We are going in April and to Shawnee in Oct. Buffalo is a lot like Birdsong only it has the river.
Blessings, Linda

Hey there. We are actually spread out, I live in Gibsonville, we have my gal pals in Harmony, High Point, Liberty, Madison, Kernersville, Lexington, a couple in Tennsssee. I have ridden in your neck of the woods several times. Love Tn. about as much as I love Virginia. We have ridden, Birdsong, Big South FOrk, East Fork, Meadowcreek, Bear Branch, Zenith Stables. Rode in Il, Shawnee Nat'l Forrest. Liked it but for the hours we put in getting there we didn't feel justified. Riding Va just as pretty. We are scheduled to ride Buffalo River this Oct. looking forward to that one. have you ridden there? IS it worth the travel.
We range in ages from 35 to 55. Laugh alot. Sing some. Glad to have you aboard. We call ourselves the Happy Hoofers due to riding, making it across the mountain, in a storm and being picked on by the men folk telling us we couldn't make it back before dark. Got there bu dinner bell. Yippee.!!

Where are most of you located? I am in Columbia/middle tennessee. We have several camping rides planned for the year. But ride year round in our area. Going to Big Creek in Missouri Ap 18, Lazyhorse in Townsend June 12th and Hayes Canyon at Shawnee Oct. 30. Any of you riding those areas?
Blessings, Linda Grajewski
