Hello all, I have a question for you. I want to know which horse breed is best for trail riding?

We are 'quarter horse' kind of folk. Currently have a 4yo and a 3yo that are absolutely awesome anywhere... barn, trails, pasture... you name it.
I got lucky and found Bear, my buckskin, pretty quick when I was in the market for a new one a year and a half ago. My husband, on the other hand, went through several before finding Sam, his 3yo Gray.
We mostly walk, because we just like to relax and enjoy the scenery, but they have pretty awesome jogs and lopes if/when we want to go that route.
It really all depends on what you are looking for in a horse and what you want to do with it.
Good luck in your decision and search. Hope you find exactly what you want. Keep in mind if you feel yourself 'settling' for not exactly what you want, chances are you will regret it.
Its really gonna come down to what kind of horse you get comfortable with. I have always had spotted saddle horses and wouldn't want anything else on a trail or anywhere else.
