A bit of Trivia: Does anyone know the reason we mount on the left side and not the left. If no one guesses over the weekend I will give the answer on Monday.

For everyone that replied that it is because horses were used for war. That is correct. Most people are right handed and wear their sword on the left side. The sword would get in the way if mounting from the right side. That being said I would always train a horse to mount from both sides and I would recommend switching off when mounting. You never know when you may need to mount the off side and usually it is when you need to most.
Amen!A little common sense goes a long ways.
