Does anyone know a good trainer and teacher for me and my horse close to Chattanooga? I trail ride regularly, but my horse needs more ground manners, respecting the reins, body language, etc. I don't have the knowledge to train and I would also have to learn along with him. Thanks,
Judy

Hi Judy,
The only trainer I know that I would recommend is in Nolensville. I dont know how far you are willing to travel, but he has a 12 week program that would help you and your horse. Check out Crossroads Natural Horsemanship. His name is Josh Guin.
Thanks Cindy, I will check this out and find out how far I am from Nolensville. Appreciate the info.

Hi:

What kind of training you looking for , I train QH's for working cow horses and trail.
I'm also starting some rocky mountian horses, I've been riding under an internship
under a person who has had them all thier lives. I can train for you and teach you along with it, teaching you is free, I'd teach you along with your horse so you can grow with the horse and learn together. I'm about an hr from chat so if int drop me a line and I'll send you ref as well. Heres my website that has all my contact info as well,

Thank you Sam for the email. I would like for my horse to learn more ground manners and "listening" to the bit or hackamore, and to be more flexible. He is a calm horse, lazy, but easy going, so he is not a problem horse, just needs some refining. I am going to be gone all next week, but would like to get in touch with you after that and see what we can work out. When I get time, I may make a trip up to see your place and talk to you if that would be OK.
Thanks,
Judy

Hi Sam, thanks for all the information and the offers of help. My riding has been put on hold. About 3 weeks ago, I broke my left foot (Yes it was horse related), so I am in this big ole boot for at least 4 more weeks, and if it is not healing properly, maybe two weeks after that.

So, when I get out of this @$%^&((* Boot, I will get back with you.
Thanks,
Judy
Sorry Judy about your foot I saw your message after I replied to your discussion
Judy,
Joe mann asked me to email you and let you know about our trail challenge coming up on the 18th at crossroads ranch. www.crossroadshorse.com
Thanks,
Hi:

Now I'm proposing some rides now lets all look in our heads and say where you all want to go so we can work it around where everyone gets to go where they want to go, And if theres any problems Id like to hear it off the get go, over the gay issue I brought up, last yr we had several in rides to maggy vally tellica big creek and so on and everyone had great times, even on the wagon trains they did. They are just animal lovers country folks like us, but your open to how you feel and what you may want to say as well' just like i did here.
Happy Trails

The only trainer I would recommend is Josh Guin in Nolensville also. I am currently in his 12 week programand loving every second of it. My horse has completley changed in a postive way. I highly recommend him even if you ride alot. The connection I have with my horse now is unreal she has become confident with me and the herd. And did I mention how confident I am now WOW!!!! what a change.
Thanks Darlene. I am going to look into this when the foot is well. How many times a week during the 12 week program do you go to the class? I am afraid my distance from the ranch will be a problem, but it sounds like something I would really like to do.
