Hello everyone, I am planning a 3-4 day trip to BSF with the family in october.  I am looking for the easier trails at BSF, I have old horses and kids and don't want trails that will be too tough for them.  Which campground offers best access to these trails? Also considered Catoosa.  I haven't been to either and would love some suggestions.  Thanks & Happy trails!

Hello,

Timber Ridge Horse Campground offers all levels of riding from easy to difficult with trail access to the BSF right from camp.  We provide you with a map and send you in the direction of your riding preference on the BSF.

I also wanted to mention, I know alot of riders have different opinions on what is considered easy.  We enjoy Circle E, Franklin State Forest, and Saul-to-Paul in GA., as a comparison. They have no trouble navigating those trails.
You would enjoy the beautiful Timber Ridge campground and the hosts will make your stay a pleasure.  Great trails right out from camp.
I have to agree about Timber Ridge.  The trails are great and Dee and Lee can advise you which would suit your riders and horses best.  You won't find better customer service anywhere!  They want and appreciate your business and want to make sure your stay is the best it can be!

Kristin my bunch is also planning a trip in Oct.27,28,29,we are going to Honey Creek,my grandson 7 is going with us he has been riding his own horse on these trails this will make his third year.WE like this camp have been going to this camp for years in Oct.This is a busy time all over BSF so you might try to get rev.for your dates.I have been to Catossa and the trails are what I call easy, hope you get to make the trip,we have been to most of the camps at BSF and can't say we have been to a bad one.

Thanks for the advise everyone! I feel much more comfortable making my reservations now!
I agree that Timber Ridge is the best!  Lee, Dee, & Ronnie are the best and no one can beat their customer service. The trails are wonderful and the Stevens are more than willing to help you regarding the trails.  Good luck and have fun with your BSF trip.
