Rules
Each obstacle is worth 10 possible points. All points will be added for the total. High point wins in each division.
Each judge will award up to an extra 5 points for each skill area to be used as a tie breaker, for Horsemanship, aids, seat, posture, attitude (horse and rider) and sportsmanship.
Riders must compete in all three arenas to qualify for awards.
Riders may ride different horses in the same division or in a different division, but each horse may only compete once.
All riders under 18 are required to wear a helmet when mounted on the park property.
Saddles and Bridles or other head gear are required, when mounted on Park Properly. No bareback riding. Rope hackamores are allowed, but webbed halters and lead ropes are not allowed for the mounted portions. Halters and lead ropes, any type, are allowed for the on-line portion only.
Proper riding boots and long pants must be worn during competition.
Rider number must be worn during competition, and must be visible; either on the rider’s back or near side rear of saddle pad.
Riders are responsible for being at the gate and ready to ride when number is called. Start times for each arena will be staggered 30 minutes to allow riders time to move between each. Anyone missing a ride time will be moved to the end of the division.
Riders may carry a training stick or crop during the on-line portion.
