Welcome, Margo!

Profile Information

How many horses do you own?
6
What breed do you own primarily?
5 Spotted Saddle Horses and 1 Appaloosa
Where was your favorite trail riding experience?
Big South Fork
Tell us something about you, anything.
I seldom find time to ride, other than here on my own place, but I'd like to find people who ride on the weekends nearby so maybe I can join in, because Missy's forgotten that she's a riding horse, she thinks she's a grazing horse.

Horse's Papers switched at auction

11/1/2003 I bought a SSH Filly at the Alexandria, TN auction, from Marshall Tinch's Farm in Cookeville Tennessee. Her papers got switched with someone's TWH gelding. Abby's in my photos. If you recognize her, let me know, I want to know, even if her daddy turns out to be Mr. Sneaky Horse.

7/24-25-26/09, at www.whynotranch.com , I talked to Beth this morning, and that weekend is open. You could camp the whole weekend, or come for a day ride. We could all bring a covered dish and eat like PIGGS!!
She has a great bath house with a big covered place, where we could plug in crock pots to eat, and plain a fall ride together. Maybe Big South Fork!
Check out her site, it is between Centerville, and Columbia, Tn., with about 35 mi. of trails.
Beth, also has a house and a bunk house that she rents out, with 20 some campsites with ele.

Margo I was there at Road to the Horse the first year Chris Cox won. I like him and Clinton and Stacy. I wasn't thrilled when they moved it and raised the prices, getting a bit out of range for the average person I think. I wasn't crazy about this years clinicians either, I've seen John Lyons a lot at Equitana, in Ky...........when it was held there........and the clinics were free. Also have taken my horse through all of Clinton Anderson's groundwork exercise on his Series I & II disks. My horse finally got fed up with it......, that happens. Well I will let you know how the ride goes. I may be posting all PWHATs ride on here eventually for the year. Have fun at Road to the Horse.

Margo, I am going to plan to go on a ride on March 15th at Percy Warner Park. It's being put on by PWHAT, so this I plan to be my first big outing this year (and neither myself or horse are in shape.....lol). Anyway, I wanted to invite you to come. I posted the information under Events so check it out. Sandy Harris who is now PWHAT's President asked me to post it on this web site and I thought you may be interested. My farrier is suppose to be here toward the end of this week so my horse will be ready.

Thanks Margo, I hope mine will be up and going again soon. We took him out today while we started marking the trail for the ride in April, he needed a little exercise. We are trimming limbs and trying to get the trail rider friendly. We are trying to map it out a little different than we normally ride. It will be snake winding and at some places you will see the top of the trail from the end, these will make an awesome photo op, and visa versa.

Margo I was not that great on my knowledge of cows but I learned quickly. Our cows are like our children. They each have a name and their own personality and are spoilt rotten. Our horses are the same way. My horse has arthritis in his back leg and his fron shoulder. Just started him on Glucosamine this week, (on vets recommendation). Seems to be doing much better, hope he is back in shape for the ride in April. Come out and join us and meet our horned children as well.
