I am soooo glad to hear that he is okay. I'm going to call the other two ladies to see if they still want to come Sat & look at Captain. Chubby & I were out at the barn last night, planning an additional stall. I'll call you later and set up a time to come get him. Hope we don't have bad weather like they are calling for later this week. Just remember that you will see him & also hope you ride with me sometime.

Hey Audrey,
How are your horses doing in this weather. I'm sure you're glad to have hot water in the barn! I tried to find you on facebook -but didn't have any luck. Keep in touch and stay warm!

Hey Audrey, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Are you staying warm??? I can't wait for SPRING!! Wanted to let you know that when I got back to work from New Years Holiday, I had two emails from a couple of ladies asking about Captain. They both sound very interested in him. They might be coming this Sat to take a look, keep your fingers crossed. How is P'zazz doing? We still love him and hope to see you soon. Kim :)

Hi Audrey, I am still pretty well new to the gaited horse and mule world but I'll tell what I know ,could be right or wrong.I see that your mule is 2 1/2 yrs. old, being young there joints are probably still growing, with that said I know height ,weight all that comes into play before riding. A neighboring farmer here has a 7 month gaited mule and he gaits freely in the pasture. I understand that it sometimes takes a while for them to become more centered while riding. That mule of mine gaits well being flat shot, my other does better with a heel.I see they have equipment out there to help perform there gait better ,some looks ok some I would say no way. Back this past spring I purchased a gaited mare horse ,she was 8 yrs. old and wouldn't hit a lick under the saddle ,but the more I rode her the smoother she got. I'm not saying wait till there 8, but she was just natural at it and it took some time.I wish I could tell you yep it's gaited or no, I'll have to leave to the experts but I do know you have a pretty mule too and my girls love you beautiful dog.Mules sure are a breed of there own wonderful and stubborn they are. Ha Ha. Take care Jeromy

Audrey, Yes, I heard about the lady that got drunk and fell asleep on her horse. That news was told to me in Franklin! LOL She made the news from Shelbyville all the way across TN. I am soooo glad it wasn't me! LOL

I have not heard whether strangles were confirmed. There was one horse they were awaiting results for, but, again, I never heard. Sunday there was supposed to be another large rescue in Springfield but the sheriff's department wouldn't cooperate. Turns out there was a "familial connection," according to the Deputy Director of the HSUS rescue team.
Yes, I'm lucky to have my own trails out my back door. I rarely go off the property. Spoiled, yes!

I haven't heard anything about the auction. Scarey to think they may open again. They had open cases of strangles toward the end of their history.

I'd love to have you come ride my trails. We trying to decide whether we're staying here or going on a cruise for Christmas. So, everything is in a holding pattern. Let's stay in touch. Love your pictures....
