do you stand this horse "Tell Me No Lies" at Tibbs Horse Farm? do you still have him? what is his stud fee? Does he trail ride? Looking for a muscled up type with sense.
thanks, Debbie

Hey, Leighanne! Sadly, I've sent "Smokin' Joe" back to Alabama and hope Carey can find a great home for him. It's been a teary week -- but my work schedule and time devoted to my daughter's riding and showing is keeping me out of the saddle for weeks at a time and that's not fair to Joe's temperament or my wallet. It's too expensive to keep a well-maintained pasture ornament and Joe is a good, honest boy who deserves a lot of attention and a rider who can appreciate that awesome canter! If you know of anyone looking for a large, gorgeous SSH send them Carey's way.
oh ok. Well all of your boys are gorgeous. :)
I'm just in awe every time I see you show them. I completely agree with you though. I would take my mares or geldings over a stud any day. They're too much trouble. Nicholas is always wanting me to ride Freedom, but I just hate having to always look after him and make sure I'm not riding close to anyone. Too much drama. haha
I do want to come see her!! I have a few people looking for something like that....I have to work today at the gypsy vanner barn. What does your schedule look like early tomarow morning? send me your number or give me a call 931-224-2457
Hey the mare i bred to aura(sp) is a bay with black legs..so I am hoping for a buckskin tobiano with black knees, I dont like buckskins without a black knee or two..Wendy morton owns him she is golden gaits farm..I will look at your site too!! I will post pics when the foals are born!! maybe I will get some nice ones!Delete Comment
yes leighanne i went to the 08 show and mike was very complimentary of my 2 yr old stud horse. that was the first show that me and my son had ever gone too and we had a ball. we went with no intentions of doing any good but my 2yr old won every class i put him in including the all age championship.Tell mike he made my day
whats your email and ill send you a copy of his pedigree and yes thats the same colt!! he is sharp and very smooth..I aint decided on a price yet. My buckskin mare if you have seen her in my pics is out of a bay/white mare/cremello stud..She is my main trail horse right now since prides stars and stripes is in foal but ill have her back ready next year..I have a motown magic mare in foal to the first auoura(sp) so Im expecting a buckskin tobiano out of her and I have another mare almost solid white she may be homozygous I need to have her tested, she is in foal to robert morgans perlino so Im not sure what ill get with her..I have another mare with two blues eyes probably homozygous I plan on breeding to roberts perlino to try to get a buck/white with2 blue eyes! that will be a long time though..I have to say black/white and buck/white are my 2 favorite colors!!
Hey I have a super colt 60 days of riding, ears almost touch..reg TWHBEA..I have pics of him in my photos..email me I can send you a copy of his pedigree and more pics..he could hit the show ring, he is sharp, thick mane and Great markings..my email is cookie20081@yahoo.com
I was told by Tim someone had some frozen semen left..but maybe not. and yes He went to iseral wow wonder how much they got for him..?what colored horses are best to breed to get a buckskin tobiano? I feel the same way!! I love mares they have more heart and personality!! I have never owned a bad mare!! I get so mad when people down a mare..I sold a 2yr old buckskin filly but she was so gentle natured I only put ten rides on her and sent her to NY for 2300..and I sold a great mare that neck reined for 2500..I sent a mare i bought for $400 and sold her to canada for 1500, only had her 2 weeks! Few years ago we sold a mare for 3600, she was a sport horse and kid broke
do they have any semen left from nite fire? I have always wanted to breed to him..well If I have a stud buckskin tobiano Ill let you know!! Are you interested in our filly? or was you hoping she was a stud? Brooke
Thanks. I'm not really interested in a palomino. Too hard to keep those white manes and tails clean! But, I would consider a dark bay (Pride's Jubilee Star color, preferably), or a liver chestnut. Thanks for keeping me in mind.
I've met Audrey as well. She was on her first real trail ride at East Fork Stables, with Brenda and Scotty once when I was there with them too. I hope to meet you one day. Your buckskin is not for sale, is he/she? I'm looking for another young gelding for trail riding. I like a solid color, not spotted. Buckskin, bay, liver chestnut. Something that is smooth, well mannered and with some "Go", but not one that has to be held back all the time. Two to six years old, preferably a gelding, but I wouldn't turn down a mare, if she met my criteria. I'm like everyone else, looking for the perfect horse!
Thanks for the comment on my "beautiful buckskin" Chance. We just bought him in July and are very pleased with him so far. I'm sorry it took me so long to answer. I am just learning to navigate this website. I noticed that you live in Petersburg. I wondered if you knew Scotty and Brenda Box? They are good friends of mine who live in Petersburg. We trail ride together.
Email is audrey@audreyandtedd.com. Yes, I was definately looking for 15 + hands, so Joe is just the right size although I did see a lot of smaller horses I thought were lovely. The Evening Shade horses were a little out of my price range but SOOOO tempting. I loved talking to David. Anything I should know about Joe? Other than a pretty nasty case of thrush, which I believe we'll be fighting forever as long as this wet weather persists, he seems good to go. Thanks again for sending pics -- yours are wonderful on your site and here, too.
Leighanne, what fun to hear from you! I saw your website when I was horse shopping and thought Storm Cat was gorgeous. I also talked to David and Lisa at Evening Shade and was really impressed with their horses -- and I see you've sold horses to them. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see more photos of Joe if you have them. I bought him two weeks ago tomorrow from All Lit Up Farm in AL -- Carey Hughes -- but he had been stabled at Nathan Clark's farm in Arab, AL. for most of the 3 months the Hughes owned him. I am so excited to find someone who owned him longer and might be able to tell me more about him and share some pics. I LOVE HIM -- he has been such a good boy so far, although the weather has kept me from being able to ride him since the day I bought him. :ooking forward to hearing more!!
Well,I'm surprised she has'nt called back yet, she's a hospice nurse and gets really busy at times! I'm sure she will contact you soon! She has some very nice horses and has imprinted her babies, they are all easy to handle. Well hopefully she'll get in touch soon!!! Audrey
