Hey, yes, we should get to gether. I told a friends that you looking for some one to ride with. Have you had any luck, with this website?
Are you interest in that atcha. thing or just trail ride for fun? And I think that women riding the edge soons good. Hey email me back at eastman@blomand.net and I give you my cell phone number I'm with Verizon if you got one it's cheaper. or you can email me, I work part time as caffeteria worker, ugh, in McMinnville. But I am on call when they need me and sometimes, I can get out of it if I am trail riding or going some place. So email at my address. I saw your interest are about like mine, they do what?! So we should talk more and see if we can plan a get together. I got my own trailer is tall, stock 2 horse, bummer pull. And I try to ride every day or night. Now that it's getting warm. I got a dog that is good on trails some time she stops for no reason, in the trail usually I can say go on, it would work. But I don't take her when I go to over nights unless I haul my self. Have you got any trails around your farm? I ride with a lady, name Edie. She and her husband has cattle black Angus, we ride through them to other side that is wooded, backs up to a creek and nursery. The trail is got some turns and long go, some times you go around few blown down trees, and in shade, very few ticks and horse flys. It's about 3 to 4 miles around, she has a steep hills on with gravel and one side hill like East Fork. She rides Arabians. And she got in to Endurance. about 3 year ago. She is nice, to put up with me. We are about the same age in our 50fty. So email me back when you can. I love those foal you got how many do you have now?
Hello Mary, sounds like you'be been doing a lot of work this smmer. I can't believe it is almost over. I have in service 2 full days next, ten Monday, {10th} will be the first full day. Been riding quite a bit around here, but looking to find a weekend trip for August Let me know what your here find out. Hope you have been feeling well , see you soon, DG
Hey Mary, haven't heard from you lately. Just got back from Texas for a few days and getting ready to get back in the "work mode". Can't believe school starts back so early. Have you been riding anywhere? I haven't been on this site in a few weeks. Stay in touch and hope you are well.

Thanks for the welcome, Mary. We have been at Saddle Valley over the weekend and I rode with a lady named Gloria who was there alone. There is usually someone to ride with at the camps. I think we will try to go to Orchard Cove in Townsend next week. It is usually cooler in the Smokies. We quit riding for about 5 years because of my health but started back last year. It is taking my husband longer to get back into riding shape but as long as he has TV set up in the RV, he is happy and I can ride all I want to. There is an Upper Cumberland Trailriders Club with about 100 members but I don't have any contact info and I don't think they have a website. I'll try to get a contact person for you as they have quite a few rides that would help you meet people. Happy trails.
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. There have been times that I'll ride, take a break and ride again in the afternoon. My horse is still learning about hills! Long Branch is in Spencer and has an entrance into Bledsoe State Forest (60 mi of trails & Long Branch has 25 mi). I heard it was nice and plan on checking it out next month. Stay in touch. Right now I'm waiting for Jim Apple to get back in town as Doc's Renegades are not fitting so I've got to get him trimmed. After that, all I need is a 48 hr. notice.
I went to Catoosa Ridge last weekend to check it out for future riding. Talked to some other people that had their horses there and they said the trails are nice & wide. Mainly rolling hills which is good for my horse! I can ride anytime. Wanted to ride Long Branch. Have you tried it? Nancy
Thanks for the good weather info. That should be helpful. CHA was the name of the organization I was first certified with. They changed to the Association for Horsemanship Safety and Education. I teceived my week=long training session at the Ashland City Girl Scout Camp. The instructor there was in charge of their horseback riding program. I can't remember her name. Hope this info helps.
I live in Sparta near the DeKalb county line. I am available to ride most any time with a little advance notice. Maybe we could ride together some time. Thanks. Mary

Subject: Hot Weather Riding Rules - yaya ride tonight
This is just good info...
OK - High today 100 / Humidity 39% / wind 5 mph. So, our heat score is:
100+39-5=134 We need to use caution and not overwork our horses.
With the heat index increasing and the humidity as heavy as it is, be
sure to watch your horses.
Determine:
Temperature (F) + relative humidity (%) - wind speed
For example:
Temperature (F) 79 + Relative Humidity (%) 58 - Wind Speed 4.6 (MPH)
Answer = 132.4
