Hi Mary! I'd love some riding buddies who are local. My horses are probably not trail ready yet, but I talked to a trainer this morning and we are doing our first session on Friday, so fingers crossed that we will be soon. I don't have a trailer, either, so that's a consideration. I'm in the southern end of White County, near Doyle, how about you?
Meantime I'd love to talk horses. I'm easiest to reach on Facebook - Deanna DeMichael Lack -- or email, dmedtrans@yahoo.com.
Crossville is a bit closer, 77 miles, still about a 2 hr. drive, no real easy way to get there. I guess that's the trade off for living in the mountains. :-)
Hi Mary, Ft. Mtn. is in north Georgia, just over the Tn. border. It is one of our favorite mountain trail rides and we try to go there at least twice a month or more. The colors in the fall are just beautiful, the trails are well cared for and there is a place to camp there as well. It would be great if we could plan a camping trip there next year.
Hi Mary, looks like you are 100 miles from here. That's a bit far, but if there were somewhere about half way to ride it would work. Thanks for your reply!
Hey Mary. Glad to get your note. I'm ready to get some riding done this year, after a few years off the trails due to economic situations. My main riding partner works on Saturdays, so I'm looking for someone to ride with when I can ride on Saturdays. I'm a not-so-confident rider, so I try to avoid riskier situations, like riding down highways and such. So, if you're comfortable playing it safe then I'd love to ride with you.

Hey, I was on here checking the site out. I did ride Tuesday with my friend Edie, she's the endurance rider. And her mare came up lame so we didn't do much hard riding she said she must of pull a muscle wasn't sure she pulled in the hip or gaskin muscle. But she was lame going out in the pasture. I'll let you know when I getmy horse reset. It will be next week. I am also getting my dog fixed next week too. It's a challenge to have something that young and I have to think training him. ugh here I go again. Talk to you later. Lucy
only took me a year and a half to get back to you.. by now you have probably rode normandy... it is a great ride and lots of good people.. havent been there in a while..life got away from me for a minute...lol but I didnt quit ridin... sorry it took me so long...
Hi Mary, Nice to hear from you. Your horses are beautiful! I can not wait to go trail riding. My spotted saddle horse is a great trail horse. She is so willing and happy to do anything. And very easy to trailer. She is what I call my no brainer horse, no work just all fun. Unlike my warmblood, he needs his own ground crew at this point in his training! I just want to go and play and have fun sometimes. Nothing like a trail ride with friends. I would love to do an over night ride sometime. Have you been up to east fork stables to ride? Talk soon
hey mary,
i have been riding on weekends in between snows! Planning on going to Sevin Springs in Ala on the 19th. Horses are doing good. you know you can come to Woodbury whenever, so stay in touch,
Deb
Mary, sorry I haven't been in touch with you. Been real busy with school, riding on the weekends. Please stay in touch and let me know when you want to come ride or I will me you somewhere.

Mary, I just got your message as my computer crashed! I am not riding now as my horse went lame after a labor day ride. He was at UT for four days having nuclear bone scan, blocks, xrays. They can't find what is causing it. Dr. Adair told me to rest him until Dec. 1, try riding and if he goes lame again to rest until Jan. 1 and he would like to do stifle surgery on him. To watch him run across the pasture, you would never know he is "lame". Seems it only happens now in his gait. I'll keep in touch as soon as I know what's happening. You can reach me at 931-484-8508. Nancy
Hi, Mary. Roger and I will be camping at Catoosa Ridge Stables thursday afternoon through Sunday morning. If you are able to come up for a day ride while we are there you can reach us on Roger's cell phone 615-830-7572.
Hi, Mary. Roger is doing well following his second shoulder surgery at the end of Aug. Just got permission to ride lightly. we took 2 of our horses and camped at Granville a couple of weeks ago when we had a break in the weather, had to keep changing the dates but finally had 3 nice days in a row. We had a great time. I had AC, heat and electric put in my trailer before we went with a frig and microwave. We took our generator to operate things and it worked out great. We are very pleased with it. We are trying to find another break in the weather when our schedule permits to go to Long C before they close in November during hunting season. We have a bunch of medical appointments and house guest coming next week. Also want to get to Catoosa for camping. right now we will be doing more camping than riding due to his recuperation and my being so out of shape for serious trails and time in the saddle. Happy trails, Denise

Hi Mary, Sparta was one of the places we looked at when we were first looking for farms 5 years ago. Could not find anything at the time. Ended up in Hohenwald. I would love to get down to 4-5 horses in the very near future. The walking horses just are not selling very well right now so I will probably still have 10 horses this time next year. Anne
Hello Mary, sorry I have not been in touch with you. Hope you are doing better. You need to call soon and let me know what all is going on with you. Went to Buffalo River for the 4th, then a new place a couple of weeks ago called Catoosa Ridge, near Crossville. Hang in there, get better and come on back up here. Deb
