Yes Jackie, my friend Teresa and I plan on being there tonight. Looking forward to meeting you this evening. We haven't had a chance to ride this week, the weather and all, so everything is still loaded in the trailer. I'm sure our horses are going to be friskey as they have not been rode since last week Saturday. So we are going to try to get there early so we can lunge our horses and not get in peoples way. So see you after a while.
Hi just got your message, been out for the holiday with family. Right now, the first free chance I would have to ride would be Weds the 8th. I've already made appts for lessons at ETC for Tues and Thurs. Hope you guys have a good ride this weekend. Wish I could go too.
Hi, Jackie, I haven't done any endurance in several years. My old Arab got cushings and he has since passed on. Right now I have a half Arab/Morgan. I don't think endurance is going to be for him. I have another Arab who also did endurance, but he's over 20 now and retired. I do love to trail ride whenever I can and would enjoy meeting up with trail riding friends at the Trace, Bowie Park or Percy Warner. I've been to Why Not a few times, but I believe it it closing soon. Drove my car over to Williamsport to check out the trails but it was so overgrown that I couldn't find a trail. Let me know if you ever want to meet and ride.
Thank you. We had seen a list of roads opened and closed, but that particular road has never been mentioned so we were worried. Husband and son will be up there next week to see about fencing the pasture for the horses and I to come up about the end of June.
I HAVE ONE KY MTN SADDLE HORSE, BUT AM TRYING TO PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE. AS A BEGINNER I HAVE BEEN ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR INNATE DESPOSITION OF KINDNESS AND TOLERANCE OF MY MISTAKES. THEY ARE A WELL KEPT SECRET
I did not get moving on time as my son had left the tractor on the trailer on the truck GRRRR, i lunged tristan on Sat and he was a %#***@@, i actually decided to get out of the round pen until he had finished his show of bucking and squeeling like a little girl !!!!, although i must admit i have not worked with him for a bout 3 weeks, my round pen is grass so its been slippery and he is a dumbhead on longe line, he was ok after his little melt down but oh boy can he gain some height !!!! he was a sweaty after i had finished with him, i will catch up with you another time, let me know if you are planning another shot at PW, i am going to try and go this later this week, I am sorry i didnt make it especially as i was the one who started the discussion, i felt bad- Belinda
Jackie, come down the Trace and get off at Hwy 50. Go East toward Columbia. The entrance to Williamsport Lakes will be on your Left. Go straight in to the trail head parking. See you Wed. and thanks for helping.
Jackie, we want to buy but we're not looking for a big farm (no more than 20 acres). We're not even sure what area of TN. We bought in the Plateau has great weather but I prefer the riding on rolling hills vs rocks. I really don't want a large home but must have 2 baths. If you know of anything in your area or can suggest areas please contact me @ email@example.com. Thanks so much.
Jackie, he does not use email except at work and his employees take care of it. Could you give me a phone number for him to call you? His name is Dawson McAllister. We went to Rails to Trails and did 21 miles yesterday. What ride lengths are the competitions? He is serious about this but needs help on conditioning his horse etc. Thanks for offering.
hey, ihavent been able to compete since 2007 for various reasons. i did take mirage to the nationals and completed. one mare had to be hospitalized and i spent a furtune saving her so i dont know when i will be able to spend money on extras again like competing. tho i would like to go to natchez this fall. my email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to contact directly. i have to redo my password every time i sign in to this group. dont work to hard
my computer doesnt like this forum so its not that i dont want to add you in my posse or friend its a communicatons error between technology. you still training for endurance? i've got a walking horse boarding here now and i'm itching to ride him but he needs some remedial work before riding so i will have to wait. come down to laurel hill the 25th if you can. the ride is meant for pleasure speeds but tis still a workout for the horses because of some of the hills and if yu feel the need fro speed theres always the roads and then zip back intot he trails. keep in touch. good to hear from you.
yes mam. I am. I just love the true look of the Egyptian Arabian. The snake neck, set apart eyes. I just love it. And the polish and others just dont do it for me. People just aren't making the arabians like they should anymore. They are losing their look. Well then you def know how the tall girls need a taller horse. haha. Do you ride around a lot?
At MTSU in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. My farm is in Lebanon, Tennessee. Thanks for helping me out. I have been looking everywhere and haven't found what I was looking for.....
Are yours Egyptian? I just love them, don't you?
I do not want a real old horse, I would like a 2-5 year old if possible. But it would not have to be papered, just full blooded. Does not have to be trained at all. Price, I guess, would depend on the horse. I am very picky, and I would spend more if the horse was awesome, not outrageous price tho, I'm still in college. Thanks for writing me back. Do you have Arabians?
I'd love to go - Jim is my farrier - but I have no trailer, nothing to haul one with, and my horse hasn't learned to travel well yet (because of those things). It's too far to RIDE her from Charlotte TN to Edwin Warner. ;0)
