Hi Vanessa, can you contact me about the ride? I am just leary as the last time I went to Many Cedars the rough necks took me on that dang bluff and said there was no other way to go.. scared the crap outta me I can tell ya. can you give me a call or leave me y our number? 931-242-8270
Vanessa, thankyou so much..it was so nice to meet you too. I had a great time saturday and hope to see you on the trails again real soon!!! Glad you enjoyed the desert!!!! God Bless , Patsy
My TWH does the walk off every now and then. If she chooses to walk off, I will longe her about 5 circles and try again. I will repeat this until she decides not to move her feet. She remembers pretty fast. Hope this helps. GOD BLESSS
Vanessa, I am probably going to back out on you because of the weather. I just watched this morning and it is raining all day today, 20-30% tomorrow and 30% Saturday. I am just afraid of being responsible for taking people out on trails/hills that will be slick. Several of my friends went there recently and said they think that whoever shows up will be ok if you just give them a map. Who would have thought that our normally dry fall would turn out to be so wet! Please forgive me, I normally keep commitments but I am just very uncomfortable about being responsible for people on wet trails.
Blessings, Linda
Vanessa, I got the check, thanks so much. I know you have your hands full. My husband (Bob) went thru bypass surgery & later five heart attacks with stints. That alone can be a process but I can't imagine how you're doing it all and having the flu on top! I really wanted to go to the Davy Crockett ride but my horse is on rehab right now and I fractured my left foot. Appreciate the note and I'll look forward to riding with you as soon as this "dark cloud" passes. Keep in touch. Nancy
Vanessa, sorry I'm late getting back to you. My horse has been at UT for the past three days and just brought him back last night. Please call me @ 931-484-8508. Maybe I can get to you or meet you. Nancy
We have decided to postpone the Mounted Ministry trail ride until Oct. 24, again due to the weather. Everything else will be the same. I hope that everyone will be able to fit us into your schedule. Thank you to all of you who have already shown your support. I hope to see you then.
Are you serving a meal? If so when, lunch or dinner. I was thinking the ride would be 3-4 hrs. If you are serving late then we would take a sack lunch for the trail. If we do a lunch on the trail then leave about 10am, that means mounted not saddling up. At least we will try and be back in around 2-3. How does that sound.?I have another friend who knows the trails there who has agreed to help me.
Blessings, Linda
Hi - ijust got back in and saw your comment. I agree. Aussies are great. We started out with my boib blue merle, bought a black tri for my husband and ended up rescuing two red tri. Including the one in the picture who is named. Joey. I love them, they go out riding with me all the time.
Yes, we made it back in record time. Just in time to be greatly disappointed by the Superbowl outcome! I can't wait to come down again. I plan to this spring some time maybe in April.
WOW!!! He sure was a beauty! I can see how you would be terribly upset over that. I think Kenneth told me about that when I talked to him about Show Girl's registration. He's the colt that cut his neck, isn't he? What a terrible loss. Do you know about when you sold her to Mike?
Thanks, Rose
I have only been to Eminence once but am planning on going there again this year. Haven't picked a date yet. Yes I used to ride in Woodbury all the time. There is a man named Benny Lance who has a ride that leaves from his house and it is my all time favorite ride! Be sure your pony is in good shape if you go there. There are lots and lots of steep pulls.
I know what you mean! I check it all the time too! It will get warm soon I hope. I would like to make the ride at Why Not on Valentines day. But it's during the week? I'll call and find out. But I'm ready. Are there any coggins clinics coming up? Need to get all up to date. Call me!
