I asked Janice when the next Sport Horse Trail Obstacle competition was and she said Sept 12th in Woodbury. It will be before the Cannon County 4H horse club show. There aren't any local competitions planned between now and then due to the heat.
There will be obstacles with the wooden objects a few more times this year before the big show at the end of the year. I know there is another show in Woodbury that Sport Horse will probably set up at in September (I think). Have ya'll ever ridden at the CCWHA grounds up on Short Mountain? Would you like to be added to the mailing list so you can keep up with the events they are having the rest of the year there? If so, let me know and I can add you. Your new pictures are great! I see in your posts you mention China. If this is a black mare with a good gait with I think one black foot and a star, then we raised her. She was born here and the boys and I started her on obstacles and stuff when she was small.
Yes, that will work. Or you get a "grazing muzzle" and let her out only at night or only during the day. They can only get a small amount of grass through the muzzle. That way she can get out and move around some.
I was driving home from Donald's and saw a small sign that just said Horse Clinic pointing towards the arena. I didn't see any horse trailers over there so it must have been overwith. I didn't know (and still don't) what is was about and who put it on.
It was good to meet you at the fun day, thanks for your help with the obstacles. The main reason I came was to meet new people and start learning about the sport horse events. I'm sure I'll see you at the sport horse show.
