We ride in Woodbury and Petersburg mostly. As far as public rides are concerned I would suggest Zenith. Their website is zenithstables.com.

Hi Sue, thank you for the information on places to ride. I haven't moved there yet, but I am planning my move in the near future. I still have to clear the land and set up a modular home and small barn plus fence it all in. I'm trying to find horse people and places as I know no one there. I'm living in south florida now but with the hurricanes and extreme hot weather in the summer I have to get out of here! Robin.

If I'm not mistaken, Altamont is near Winchester, TN, right? Get in touch with Circle E if that's the case -- web site www.CircleEGuestRanch.com -- they have wonderful organized rides and you can ride there ("disorganized") just about any time you want. They are GREAT people. It's a good place. There are also many places in middle Tennessee as well, if you don't know about Birdsong and Bucksnort and Buffalo, as well as the other places that don't feed you (those places do). I understand riding in Franklin Forest on top of Monteagle is good, but I've never been there. Welcome to the area, btw.
