I have switched over to the Bob Marshall treeless saddle and I love it. Does anybody out there ride in one? They are lightweight, 17 pounds and it fits my horse very well. There are some cheap knock-offs out there (Hilason) but the quality is not good or the fit. Robin.

Hey Robin- I have a Bob Marshall. Unfortunately they do not stand behind their product like they used to when you need them. They didn't make my stirrups correctly and I had to pay for new ones. They were supposed to ask the inseam and the person on the phone didn't do it. I had to pay for their mistake. I did have the stitching come loose and they repaired it. This was in the first few months of having this saddle. Also my leather gets scratched easily on the trails. Not sure why since none of my other saddles have done this. I do like the light weight of it. I tried selling it recently and could not find anyone who wanted it. Most of the people I spoke with said they would cause a sore back on the horse and were not good for them i.e. Larry Whitesell and several dressage professionals. I am still using it as my back up saddle. After several hours on a loose walking horse I got really tired because I felt too much movement in him.

Hi Robin,I'm Jackie, new here and very interested in a treeless saddle. It seems every time I bid on one on E-bay it goes too high so I'll just have to keep trying

Hey Robin -- I agree with you that your Bob Marshall treeless can let you feel more of what your horse is experiencing underneath you. Plus, it's really nicely designed and manufacutred. Barb

Hi Diane, The saddles also keep you warm as you can feel the body heat of the horse. Robin.

Bob Marshall lives about 15 minutes from me and I know of several that have his saddles and love them. I hope to have him make me a personal fit saddle someday. I have one of his light weight suade saddles and I use it for the kids that come to my house and ride. The best thing about my saddle is you can feel the horses movements. Diane
