Those in need of HELP from flood damage in Middle Tennessee:

I have received emails and calls from people volunteering supplies and help to those in need due to flood damage. If you are in need of feed, supplies, fencing, etc, please post your need here so that this BLOG will serve as a bulletin board for those able to help. Please include your name, phone number and email address if possible, along with your immediate need.

Yes, we suffered damage at our farm too (fencing destroyed and flooded barn), but our damage was insignificant to the damage that many other horse owners suffered. I hope that the Tennessee Trail Riders website can serve as a medium to connect those who NEED help with those Good Samaritans WILLING and ABLE to help.

Our prayers go out to those who were impacted by the flood!!

Hi Susan, I am not aware of a formal organization that repairs fences and creek wash-outs, but I would encourage you to create a BLOG on the TTR website asking members for necessary supplies, fill dirt, etc.

MIke, do you know of any grant money that is being given for the flood tearing down the fencing or help with damage done to the creeks bounderies?
All of our fencing was torn down by flood down my our creek and it knocked out both of our entrances to our property. The county came and filled in rock on the side of our bridge that would endanger the traffic but that is all. My husband has been working on trying to rebuild the entrances, but a lot still needs to be done to redo the fencing. Our horses are on higher ground with hot wire fencing right now. But that really worries me that there is only the hot wire to hold them in. Let me know if you have heard of any grants, thanks Susan

Luckily we faired the storm with all horses safe and sound and no damage. I have space for horses that need a temporary home, stalls and pastures. We are located in Murfreesboro just minutes off of 840. There some pics of my place in the classifieds, just search Stecoah Stables. All breeds welcome.
