Hi !
Just thought I'd let those know who are close to the Alabama/Tennessee border around I-65 - there's a new trail system available ! They have a page on Face Book. Just type Sulphur Creek Trails in the search and you'll see it. I rode them this morning before the rain set in. HOW wonderful they are ! I'm SO excited about them and can't wait to go again. There's a $50 annual membership fee that I feel is WELL worth it ! I would have taken pictures but I didn't want to because I was afraid if I brought my cell phone, it would have gotten wet. Because I didn't bring it is why it didn't rain until we got back. *smirk*
If you want to ride, let me know ! I'd love to join you !
Happy Trails !
Jackie

Well, there are some places I don't go when it's wet there but it's drying out well now ! I'm going to be there hopefully every day from now till Sunday ! Had a BLAST there today !
Comment by janet sweatmon on January 4, 2012 at 12:44pm Rode at Ellmont on Friday! It was great except for the new trail from the falls back to the left. Really bad hill, when its wet. We had a guy fall off. I walked up and lead my horse. Pretty steep! Talked to Jerry he said he would look at it and make sure it was safe! Had a great time, wished I could've camped out that night!!!

Comment by Taylor Anne McComb on December 4, 2011 at 9:40am I don't think I saw you but I managed to get there on time and absolutely enjoyed it! I'll be coming back!
Taylor-Silly me - I didn't realize the ride was starting from the Pavilion on the front side of the trails. Normally, everyone parks on the back of the property but this included lunch, etc. I hope to meet you out there on the trails one day. Let me know if you are going and I'll meet you !
Taylor - It starts at 10:00. Which direction are you coming from ? It's about 4 miles west of Elkmont Center. Head west on Upper Fort Hampton Road. You'll go less then a mile and come to a stop sign for a major road. Can't remember the state road # at the moment. No matter. Stay straight continuing west. The road name is Morris Road. Go to the end about 3 miles and take a left onto Easter Ferry Road. Go about a mile or so, the road will take a turn to the right, you'll cross a bridge over Sulphur Creek and the gate is on the left. There's a blue road sign and I think it says "Elkmont Rural Village back entrance. So, refresh my memory who this is for. I plan to be there Saturday but I don't want to get there that early. Probably more like 11:00-11:30. Have fun ! Become a member of this trail system ! It's worth the $50 !
Comment by Taylor Anne McComb on December 1, 2011 at 8:47pm Hey! I'm wanting to ride at their benefit ride this Saturday 12/3/11 but I don't know anything other than who it's for!!! I can't seem to find directions to it, the price, and what time it is for sure starting.
Comment by janet sweatmon on November 14, 2011 at 10:31pm Jackie, I met you at the top of the hill going to the falls. I was on that big bay mare. I said to you," there's your sister", talking to my horse of course. I loved it there. We were in the black f 250 that was parked over by itself. That is a great place. Have you rode the boot trail?
