not yet but I have got caught in storms on foot. I'm sure it'll happen, I'll try to be prepared with raincoat when the weather isn't totally perfect, and just trust my Lord to see fit to let me stay here, I know heaven may be a great place to go but I don't wanna go until I get my work done.
One of my grandfathers brothers got killed by lightening while driving a tractor, that was way back when a man was the highest thing on the machine.

Here in South Florida we get alot of pop-up T storms. No warning. One time my friend Paula and me were out on the trails and a really bad lightning storm started so we galloped back to the trailer, hopped off and the horses ran right into the trailer tack and all! we then hauled butt outta there!

Yes, happened to us at Big South Fork June 2009. The men checked weather radar on their computer early that morning before we left because we knew we were going on a long ride and part would be on a high ridge. They said nothing was forecast. But, on that high ridge a storm came it and it was really bad and really scary. I do not want that experience again.

Great photo! Yes I have been out in the middle of a trail, deep in the woods when a sudden storm came up. Lightning was literally right on top of us. My mare, a TWH, just pinned her ears against the wind and rain and walked on-my trail buddies were on Arabs and had their jumpy horses parked right up her nutt. She earned a forever home with me that day!
