Biography

[Villa Bartlett]

I am a middle aged woman born and raised in Tennessee. I have loved and been fortunate enough to own horses all my life. I am still as drawn to them as I was as a child. As an older adult my focus is to stay healthy and safe so I can continue to enjoy horses and hopefully ride for many more years. In that vein I have become a dedicated Parelli student. For the last few years as I have followed the Parelli path I have felt like I am learning a new language. All the nonsense I learned about how to work with horses throughout my adult life no longer applies. In Parelli I have learned to make the relationship with the horse my first priority. As a result I am beginning to find that special connection I had with horses as a child that I had lost as an adult but had dreamed of recapturing. Maybe I will recapture it in my "second childhood."
