Sweet Feed and control problems?

I had just about had it with my 4 year old TWH gelding, Pegasus. I had talked to several people over the past year about how "wired" he had become and how unmanagable he was getting. I was visiting with a trainer in Leipers Fork and she asked me if I was giving Pegasus any sweet feed. I had been giving him half sweet feed, half oats almost every day since I… Continue

Trail riding in Florida

Would anyone be interested in joining us for a week ride at the Florida Greenways March 7 - 20? On March 11, there will be a full moon...you haven't lived until you have flown along at a full "gait" along a river of white sandy trails in the moonlight. We also rarely need Heat or Air Conditioning at that time of year. We have lots of shade and NO mosquitoes at that time of year.

I love Tennessee riding, but Feb/March in Florida is a great time & place to ride. We have Ross… Continue

Cooling off in Historical Tumbling Creek

Four guys from Dickson and Humphreys County, Tn rode trails near the Bucksnort Campground Saturday and the pictures were made in Tumbling Creek, which winds through the community of Poplar Grove Tn.
This was Herbert Wilkinson's first ride on the trails. The others ride often. Dean Butler servers as a resident trail guide for Bucksnort.

Bellaterra Ranch & Winery - Franklin, TN

We've been horse owners, thanks to the influence of Linda and Pitt Kemmer, Crossville, TN at Kemmer Ranch, since we began Bellaterra Ranch about 8 years ago. My wife and I are proud to have our 13 gaited horses including Spotted Saddles, Tennessee Walkers and Rocky Mountain horses. At the same time, probably like most horse owners, we have far more than we need...it's just that we hate to ever give one up.… Continue
