What type saddle do I need? Any suggestions?

My daughter has a Tennessee Walker who is slim built with high withers. His saddle is hitting him at his withers and is pinching. Can anyone recommend a brand with a wider tree to look for to replace the current saddle with? Thanks, Linda

HORSE SLAUGHTERHOUSES

Representative Nicely has authored a bill that should cause outrage in anyone who reads it. How can anyone use the words slaughter and humane in the same sentence. Horses have been our companions for centuries. In a letter to the editor of the Tennessean today, someone reminded me that General Patton saved the Lipizzaner horses from slaughter during WWII. We as Tennessee residents need to save our horses. Slaughter houses are not the answer for unwanted and abused horses. We are known for our… Continue

Family riders

My wife, Michele, and I have five year old boy/girl twins, and we love to ride. The problem is we have only single or married with out children riding friends who do not wish to regularly ride with families. Additionally, my kids wish to find other kids with whom to ride. Therefore, if you are a ridin' family that is willing to add another family to tag along with your group, then please drop me a line.

Stops dead and eats grass

My horse, either at a walk or trot, will stop IMMEDIATELY, without warning, and eat grass. He is fed properly and grazes in pasture.
