The Walking Horse had a true champion pass away last week March 18. Alene Parks passed away of natural causes in her home. She died doing what she loved to do. She had just returned from clipping her mare and cleaning the barn when she sat down on the couch and died. She was declared dead later at Hartmon Hospital in Tullahoma surrounded by her children, husband step grandchildren and her only great grandchild, and her daughter and son in laws. She will be sorely missed by the hundreds who knew… Continue

Ya gotta meet Molly...

She spent weeks on her own before finally being rescued and taken to a farm where abandoned animals were stockpiled. While there, she was attacked by a pit bull terrier and almost died. Her gnawed right front leg became infected, and her vet went to LSU for help, but LSU was overwhelmed, and this pony was… Continue

I am offering individual riding lessons this spring, mainly for children or adults. As you know, this is great therapy for disabled persons. I realize most of you all are experienced riders but if you know of anyone, please contact me on this site. My barn is in the northern part of Cannon county adjoining DeKalb county and Warren county to the East. Contact me at this site or email@example.com for nonmembers. Thanks and hope you all have some great trips planned.

Sonja is giving up her Horses for 4 days only. She will be snowmobiling in Utah. Gonna miss those 4 legged creatures. Something about that sanity check, guaranteed. No stress when you are camping no waiting to get thru security.

I know it is short notice, but some of the Kentucky Trail Riders are going to Saddle Valley Campground this weekend- March 6-8th. This campground is near the Big South Fork National River and Rec. Area. It should be a great weekend to ride. We would love to have any other riders join us if interested. So far we have a group of 8-10 people scheduled to ride Friday, Sat., and Sunday. Morning all horse friends,
I read an add on Craig's List this morning from a lady whose horse and trailer were stolen from her home while she and her husband (a soldier from Fort Campbell) were out of town.
Please go to Craigs List, Nashville section, farm/garden and read her add which is titled: horse lovers please read. Maybe we can all be on the lookout for this horse. This lady is totally heart broken as I know we would all be if this happened to us.
