Gaited Horse Wanted

I'm looking for a naturally smooth gaited (no pace or trot) horse to trail ride that will ride alone and with other horses without any problems. The horse must be gentle and calm natured. I prefer a palomino, champagne, buckskin or chocolate w/flaxen mane & tail that is 15.1 hands tall and under. The most I can afford to spend is $1,300.00

If you have what I'm looking for please let me know.

Elmer Bandit dead at age 38

Why was this old horse left out in the pasture to freeze in the cold? He was a champion trail horse that logged many thousands of miles. He was unable to rise after being found in his pasture suffering from hypothermia and was euthanized. I don't get it. Wouldn't you have a horse like this at that age in a barn blanketed and protected from the cold? I don't get it.

WANTED: Mini-donkey well trained to pull a buggy

I already have two mini-donkeys but they are not trained to pull a buggy. I would like to buy a mini-donk that is already trained. I would also consider a trade for one that is well trained.

New Horse trainer has moved to Tennessee!!!

For those who didnt know little ole Cross Plains has joined the ranks of horse riding elite. Josh Lyons, son of world famous clinician John Lyons, has bought a facility and is training Lyons certified trainers in our home state. We are excited because Josh's new facility is only a mile from our home and dont think that we will now be slipping down there and peeking in the cracks of their barn!!!!!!

Josh Lyons is originally from Colorado where his father John…

The "Old One"

I received this in an email today. It's supposed to be a true story. Whether it is or not it is something to think about.

The "Old One"

A brother and sister had made their usual hurried, obligatory pre-

Christmas visit to the little farm where dwelt their elderly

parents with their small herd of horses. The farm was where they

had grown up and had been named Lone Pine Farm because of the huge

pine, which topped the hill behind the… Continue
