Where was your favorite trail riding experience?: Percy Warner, Laurel Hill, Why Not Ranch

Tell us something about you, anything.: I have been horse-crazy since I was six years old, and still love all things equine. I have participated in a lot of different equine events, but love trail riding the most.

I lost Sun (TWH) back in 2001 and then I lost Chica August 2009. In my pics you can see my latest baby. He's a lineback dun Quarter horse. I'll be taking him over to Josh Lyons in a few weeks to let them ride him for me. I've gotten a bit too old to mount one for the first time. Besides he's abt 16 hands tall. Way too far to the ground for me. I've gotten too old to bounce when I hit the ground. Nowadays I'd just go "Splat" so I figure I'll let the pros start him under saddle for me.

I seldom go on a ride that I have to pay to get in, I prefer to do low budget riding locally. Do you have gaited or non gaited horses? We have gaited walking horses. I met a really nice lady yesterday by the name of Dorothy Russell who is also looking for trail buddies. We need to hook up somewhere and ride!

Cleaning stalls and stuff. We use our horses for FUN!! We ride at Normandy most Sundays....unless it's too hot. (Which has been the case the last 3 Sundays!) It's killing me not to ride! But I read that when the humidity and the temperature add up to 150 or more, it's just not safe for them. But I'm about to break down and just take it easy and bring plenty of ice to cool them down (and lots of breaks!) . If you ever want to ride there with us, I'd be happy to show you around!
