I have been horse-crazy since I was six years old, and still love all things equine. I have participated in a lot of different equine events, but love trail riding the most.
I'd like to start by telling you how GORGEOUS your horse is!(The gray) Nothing beats a white face! We use our 4 wheeler mostly for chores. Cleaning stalls and stuff. We use our horses for FUN!! We ride at Normandy most Sundays....unless it's too hot. (Which has been the case the last 3 Sundays!) It's killing me not to ride! But I read that when the humidity and the temperature add up to 150 or more, it's just not safe for them. But I'm about to break down and just take it easy and bring plenty of ice to cool them down (and lots of breaks!) . If you ever want to ride there with us, I'd be happy to show you around!
You are very welcome! I enjoyed giving you guys some tips and if you found them helpful all the better. If you get the chance watch the two videos that we have on here. One of Michael and Stoney and one of Me and Kody. David said that he was really feeling inspired to get more into Parelli after Saturday. Anytime you guys want t talk about stuff just drop us a line.
Amelia Island is about 13 miles long. they have rental agencies but I prefer to take my own horse. there is a resturant on the beach and you can tie up there and go in for a great meal or sit on the pavilion and have a few drinks and watch the waves.
Gosh...between Facebook and email...I never check my posts on here....sorry Jeannie...YES...I am the same Gina who had Martini!! I have 5 horses now and we MUST get together and ride. We need to talk on the phone and catch up.Do you still live in Lavergne?? the last time I saw you was when you had a baby...how long ago was that/??? call me: 429-5457
OMG!!! MY boy also gets in the trough and kicks and splashes.... I had to get a drain plug de-icer so he would not be able to take it out and play with it... the other one that sat in the trough in a small cage - he flipped it out all the time - it was funny but exasperating at the same time....
