I love going to the barn, showing our horse Fancy, trying to train our colt Danny, he is so full of himself.
I currently ride a Quarter/Walker named Red - he is the best horse because he takes care of me and lets me learn and is very patient. He is 12 years old and even though one day I will be riding a gaited horse, he will forever be my horse.
My husband is a lot more experienced than I am, so he is also patient...but I am getting better. Plus I just love it, its so relaxing, all the troubles just melt away when you are in the saddle.
Hey, I am learning alot myself. My friends have been really helpful, plus my horses help me (I think they know I am trying hard to take care of them). Anyway, I go to Lewisburg on the weekends. I board my two horse there. Maybe one day we can ride together.
There must be something about horses named "Red"! I read all about yours and he sounds just like one of my husband's horse, also named "Red". He's a horse I put my 42 year old cousin on that had NEVER been on a horse in her life, my mother's ridden him, and I'd trust him with any child. But he's also fun enough to keep my husband from getting bored. He's a TWH without papers.....but he's priceless to us! (He also likes the QH look about him....few gaited horses get that stocky!)
Anyway, welcome to Tennessee Trail Riders!
