I just read that you lived in Ft. Myers, Fl. for 33 yrs. Wow, imagine me finding you here of all places! Moved to small town St. Joseph, TN. almost 5 years ago from Alva,Fl and Bonita Spgs. Small world indeed. I am an original Fl. girl and 4th generation at that. We love it here.
Virge you old coot I am so happy to see you here !!! I missed you guys. (by the way old coot was a funny thing ok don;t take it wrong) Read what I wrote to Jackie Allen. I am not on TH&R anymore. I do not like certain family members to spy on me. Hope they don't find me here. I have ridden a few times at Why Not and I love that place. Beth, the owner has such great plans for that place so far I believe she has 15 campsites with elelectric and she has a great bath house with a dining area covered but outdoors. As a matter of fact I am planning a ride there next week. Do you want to make plans with us?
Virgil, I have been there one time and I really like it, especially because it is close to home. I agree the trails are nice, that is where most of my pictures on here were taken. I love the creek with the slate rock. We were the only two people there at first and then we met up with a couple of others and Beth and a friend of hers. I look forward to getting to go back soon.
Riding at night sounds like fun, not sure I am that experienced, but maybe on a trail close to home that I am more familiar with. We came back on Fri. night so we missed the storm. Circle E was getting crowded as we were leaving. Was WNR full?
I think now we may be going to Circle E Ranch, but I am waiting on a call to see if I can borrow a horse or not? Jane's sister will be riding Mark, the horse I usually ride, so I have to beg, borrow or steel this time. Can't wait till I can get my own! Maybe won't be much longer!! Have fun where ever you go.
There is also Fountain Creek, (one of my favorite places) below Lewisburg/above Columbia - There are a lot of shady trails and I think you can primitive camp there - I have seen people camping there. Happy Trails - Jeannie C.
