It was sad leaving the wonderful facilities that I have had access to for the last two months. But it was too expensive and it really was a boot camp for my boy. Stalls most of the time, and very small dirt pastures. Awful for him. But the experience was invaluable for he and I!!! I am so very pleased with what all I learned and what all Buzz learned!! He gaits like a CHAMP now and I know how to ask for it. I feel like I am riding a magic carpet. I am so pleased.

I can get off work go out to the farm and get a 2 hour ride in before dark, that is when the park is actually open..

For a while I trail rode some logging trails in White Bluff, but you have to be an extreme trail rider for those bad @ss trails.. I got sick of them quick..

Besides, Bowie, there is Percy Warner Park which is like 30 minutes down hwy 100, there is Why not, which is 45 minutes.. I have a friend that lives in Vanleer that has like 100 miles of trails that we ride.. There is the Natchez Trace Scenic Trail which is down 100 then right on 96.. That trail is really rocky in spots.. Natchez Trace State Park is about 1 hour down I40. Bucksnort and Birdsong are down I40W also.. OOO and Loretta Lynn Ranch..

That is all I can think of within an hour hauling.. I haven't been to Buck or Bird yet, but plan on going in the spring..

We'll have to get together and ride together since we board so close.. Maybe when Bowie opens back up when can just do a quick day ride together!!
