It is a long drive but worth it. It was one of the most memorable rides we have been on. You are lucky to be so close! I will let you know if we get to go!!!

Yes, same place! Unfortunately it is like an 9 hour drive for us ;(. We don't have any plans on going back in the near future but do definately plan on going back as it is a great place to ride! If we make plans I will let you know so maybe you can meet us there!

I agree except for the spookiness. My Rockies have excellent temperament and seem to be smoother gaited "naturally". Of course age and training determines a lot of that but if age and training are the same my Rockies seem to be easier keepers, smoother gaited, LESS spooky. I also have a Spotted Mountain 3 year old (Rocky Dam, Spotted Saddle Sire) who seemed to get the best of both. He's got an excellent temperament, willing, smooth, solid on any trail. I think I like my Rockies over my SSH's and TWH's but then again I have to be cautious not to over-generalize. My next goal is to ride an American Saddlebred, I have heard good things about them but you hardly ever see them in Tennessee.

Melissa, how do you like your Kentucky Mountain Horses? How do like them compared to yoru TWH and Paso? I have Rocky's and TWH's and SSH's and I just wondered how you felt about them. Of course they are all gaited so maybe it doesn't make a big difference but I have my favorite...I'll tell you what it is after I hear back from you.

Best wishes,
