Does anyone know the status of the trails at Normandy Lake.   I've heard rumors again of them being closed due to a couple of recent injuries.  I know TVA had been working with a group that had been…Continue

I do know you can take your dogs at East Fork I use too. Muffy was a red golden, and she was really alot older than Annie.  Last part of our trip we would take a short ride with Muffy so she wouldn't feel left out. The blonde was Annie she was a trooper! She kept up and stayed close to the horses. She passed in January, from a heart attacked at 9 yrs old.  Tore me up, I still miss her everyday.  I wish she was here to teach Harley how to act. Lucy again.

I got walking mix, he trot, paces, and strides like small walking gait, only when he's pissed or behind another walker.  I have ridden at East Frk and Big South, and Circle E, Franklin Forrest, and AEDC Trail ride I have ridden with PWHat, some. I have a friend she rides Arabain I won't falt her we some times camp when it's not deer season cause her husband is travel for the deer season and they have a farm to deal with.  We may have meet at some of those rides. Are you a PWHAT member, they won't care if you got a spotted horse, or if he trots if your just trail riding.  Lucy

I do have a horse but I love goldens. I been looking for free dogs, or one dog. I right now got a Brittany and some times I have screemed my head off trying to get his attention. He is nothing like a golden If some one wanted a bird dog I would give him to them.  As long he gets to sleep in the house and in there bed!

Hi Mary. . Cliff is a great person.  I saw his first little girl when he put her in a 4-H horse show in Woodbury. . she wasn't even old enough to sit up on her own. . I believe she won that class. . Jana has 2 boys and my daughter had a little girl 9 weeks ago so Donald and I are really enjoying grandparent-hood.  Even though Donald has 29 horses, we don't get to ride much.  We both have full time jobs (thank goodness) and we put out a half acre garden each year that keeps our summers occupied.  We spent a weekend at Orchard Cove last month.  Awesome riding!  This weekend, we are going to Timber Ridge at Big South Fork.  This will be our first visit there since the new owners have taken over.  We have heard good things about their efforts. . we started going there when Annie and Dannie were there and love the camp.  If we get to ride on weekends, it is usually at Short Mountain outside of Woodbury since that is the closest for us.  Our kids have grown up and we have too many horses to ride.  Donald's son, Daniel is riding some of the young colts but he usually rides with his friends around the county.  Even though we don't show, I am involved with the SSHBEA Sport Horse competitions.  I would love to meet with you and, better yet, ride together.  Happy Trails!

Hello Mary.  My name is Donna Eaton.  I live in Cannon County.  I was enjoying your beautiful pictures when I came across the one of Cliff.  I know Cliff from his young adult years.  He was friends with my boyfriend's daughter, Jana Preston Rogers.  He has been to my house when the group would stop by after a team penning run.  Donald Preston and I  love to ride the Smokies but have not been on the NC side of it.  I was fascinated with the elk pictures.  We also love Big South Fork.
