Hi Mary. I know you asked about the horse in the picture of Byron & Diablo, but for some reason I could not find your comment to reply to. Anyway, sorry it took a while to get back to you.
As for muscle tone: I am no expert, but we feed twice a day, hay always available for them. Our pasture is kind of hilly, so just walking around in it gives them a workout, and they are on pasture all of the time. We also manufacture horse exercisers, Supreme Horse Walkers, LLC www.supremewalker.com, and we use ours, particularly in preparation for any upcoming trail riding trips to get them in shape for it. Other than that, it is just the way the horse is built.
Thank you for asking.
When would be the best time to call? I work the evening shift ,so I'm usually around during the day. Thanks, Donnie Rosson
The white stallion pictured is my stallion and I lost him August 2008, he was working on 31 years old. I bought him at 11 months so we were together most my adult life. and yes it was fun breeding Arabians, but now there are so many horses needing homes I have not bred for many years. I do have people email me that need homes for their Arabians, many have lost jobs etc and need to find home for there horses, so I will keep you in mind should anyone have something available. I only have 2 Arabians now and an adopted Appaloosa. They are my kids, one of them is a daughter of my stallion "Moses".
There is a down side to breeding for 30 years.. you are then OLD. :):)
Take care,
Georgia
