Hey Sheila-Dwight and Pat are not going to get to go this weekend. The trailer they were going to rent from Coop was stolen. Plus they have been having some issues with their horses and feel like they may need to wait until they have had a little more riding before they attempt to go with a group. We are still planning to go though. I know the ride is at 10. Does that mean we need to be there, saddled and ready to ride by 10? I'm thinking it will probably take us an hour driving time right?
Get on Hwy. 64 into Shelbyville. Hwy. 64 will go up by the Courthouse. Stay on 64 into Wartrace. There will be signs, may be small, but will be posted. If ya'll still feel uncomfortable w/ directions, we can meet up and ya'll can follow us.
Lookin' like Sat. is a go! I'm afraid to say anything for fear the rain will hear me!!! Anyway, in years past, Wartrace has been a great ride. The crowd is usually big, but you can get w/ your group, go @ your pace, and there is lots of room to spread out. Looks like the temp. that day is going to be in the 60's, so the horses will most likely feel frisky @ first, but this ride is long enough to settle them down. It's hard to judge a ride for someone else because every horse/rider is different. What bothers one may not bother another @ all. Do you have any specific questions about the ride that the above or the flier does not answer? We will certainly try to help. Just let us know! The Woody's
Oh...one other thing----this ride is very well organized. Their will be many trail bosses, paramedics, people "sitting on" 4-wheelers, to cover any problems that might arise. Pray & ask God for guidance on your decision. He will never take you down the wrong trail!!
Can't wait! Ya'll will easily see me....I kinda have a thing for "lime green"!! (Horse and rider!!) And of couse, if u don't see me, u know you'll hear me! HA! Don't worry, the trails will be fine. See Ya There!
Great! Ya'll will love being w/ our group. We do not allow any alcohol or stallions and welcome beginners, children, families, etc. The trails David and I have riden @ Why Not Ranch were not strenous to us. Call Beth ( I reckon she owns/operates the place) @ #931-583-9188 & talk w/ her about the riding there and what your daughter and you feel you are ready for. She'll be glad to help! You could also try their web site @ whynotranch.com. On the 19th (rain date 9/26) I think the ride will be fun for all! That is always our goal anyway. We are having a meeting tonight about the benefit and I will try to ask about the type of rides (am and pm) that are planned and let u know!
