I really love horses, it's beyond "horse crazy". I have a TWH mare, Sweetheart, and a APHA gelding, Rebel. I do some 4-H and local shows. I love trailriding, there are a lot of trails near where I live. I plan to start riding in Ranch horse shows.

fire tower, State Park I think. Where St. Andrew turn left right in front of the school or (right) follow around the airport until you see a the Park 2 older building on the right. It might be a mile from Airport. heading down the mountain I guess.

Congrates on your 4H horse show , Mrs. Bell told me you did real good. I was wondering have you ever rode near the fire tower up there on that mountain? Mounteagles? Does it cost to ride the trails there? Lucy

Hi!!! Good to hear back from you. Looked at my notes and found that the place I was thinking of is Franklin Forrest. Take Monteagle exit off I40. The trailhead is suppossed to be on the left before you get to Sewanee. I hope this info makes sense to you. I'm not familiar with the area. Let me know if you find out more info.

Hi Emily--Welcome-I'm a retired teacher and a certified riding instructor. I'm just trying to get back in to trailriding. Working now on building my strength and endurance. I've heard that there is a state park near Monteagle that has horse trails. Do you know where they are and have you ridden there? I'd be happy to come ride with you sometime when the weather is a little dryer. I'm an old person, but still have a lot of fun left in me! lol I live in Sparta. Happy trails, Mary
