You're right Madison did win that class.  She looks just like her mom and the younger one looks just like Cliff when he was little.   She's been riding a while too. Let me know how you like the new owners at Timber Ridge, i've seen some pics on this site from the new trail.  Looks great.  I'm hoping to get back up that way by the first of next year if not before.  I'll try to get Cliff to bring me to Woodbury some weekend and maybe we can meet up for a ride.

Hi Donna,  we'll need to meet up sometime and maybe ride together.  Cliff has been part of our family for a long time now. They have 2 little girls now that are just starting to ride with us some.  I hope to get them to go back with me on my next trip to the mountains.  Try the NC side but understand there's not much over at those camps.  the only running water in Cataloochee is the mountain creek. ha ha We stayed 3 nites and show a lot of great views from the mount peaks.  Where do you guys ride on weekends?

Donna, you and I had corresponded last June regarding riding in the Smokies. I am trying to begin planning this year's riding and referred back to that conversation. Can you give me some more specifics regarding what we talked about. I looked up the various places you mentioned, and am unable to find anything. I assume you were riding the smokies and appalachian trail in TN but I am not sure. Would you be kind enough to elaborate on directions, etc to these places? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
Carla

Thanks for all the good ideas,I really need to find someone to help me from the ground. I can't get up and down very good cause of a bad knee, could make it difficult to mount and dis mount. I need a twenty year old too!!!!HA-HA!!!!! I'm not gonna do much in the winter anyways, but I'll be busy come Spring!!!! Thanks,Audrey

How old was your mule when you broke him to ride? I think mine is still to immature,i'm gonna take it nice and slow!!! She'll let me stand in the stirrup ,lean across her and flop the fenders on the other side, but when I acted like I was getting on her,she quickly moved away from me. So I figured she's just not ready yet? What do you think, how did your mule do when you went to get on him for the first time? Curious!!! Thanks, Audrey

Thanks Donna, I guess I won't give up the hope that she's gaited yet. I really appreciate the advice,I've got to learn somehow!!!!!HA-HA!!!! I have a book by Meredith Hodges, but it does'nt give me enough info about a mules personality and how they think!!! I really try to be easy and patient with her,but I don't want to spoil her to much, where is that fine line? She's really getting big and could hurt me if I do this wrong. How do you know that your mule is locked on to you? There are so many questions???? HA-HA!!! I could go on and on, but I will spare you for now!!!HA-HA!!! Thanks Again,Audrey
