I love to ride horses all the time. I like to try different places and meet other folks that enjoy the love of horses as much as I do. I honestly feel horses is the best therapy for everything. They love us back as much as we love them. Horses enjoy a really good day out just as much or more than we do.

Trail Ride Late January or early February

I was wondering if anyone would from TTR would be interested in getting together at Wranglers Camp Ground at Land Between the Lakes sometime soon? I know it is cold but we could bundle up. This would be a wonderful time to meet each other and fellowship. I think it is $14.00 to park a trailer over night or $5.00 to day ride. They have stables, electric hook up, cabins and bath houses. I have never looked for hotels in that area but I am sure there are some within a few miles of the camp. If… Continue

I know they have a lodge and cabins, not at the horse facility, but close.

Hi Diane,
this is a fun ride, usually a group rides out, or you and friends can go out together. They do have cabins, but not at the wranglers camp. They are on down a few miles. You would have to check with the state park for rates and availability. NTSP is located just off I-40 at exit 116, Hwy 114. Go south 1&1/2 miles and you are there.
www.waylonseagravesmemorialride.org I'll add that to the site as well. I go here alot for day rides or to camp alot on not so busy weekends. I am off alot during the week, too, and the park is empty. Let me know if you would like to get together and ride sometime.

Diane, Just so you know, I will be riding the St. Jude ride. I've been to Calico ranch before and it's a fun place to ride.

When you want to add someone to your posse, just click on that person's picture or name and then when their page appears click on "ADD AS FRIEND" which is located just below their picture on the upper, left hand side of the page. Good luck...I've requested to be added you to my posse. :-)

Diane,

Thank you for responding. We have a great time during our St. Jude event. The demonstrations are great the trails can be easy to challenging and the bands play all night.

We are still developing our place and are planning on getting two cabins built and a shower house. I am hoping we will have them ready by the ride. If we don't there is another campsite (Many Cedars) that is close by that has cabins and stalls or you could leave your horses here and get a motel room that is also close by. Please contact me in April and I can let you know how we are doing on cabins.

We would love to have you and your friends come join us.

Here is more information about the ride. We are looking for donations. St. Jude sets the price with great prizes for the participants. All participants turning in money will receive a Lapel Pin, Participants raising $35 or more will receive a T-shirt + Lapel Pin, Participants raising $75 or more will receive a Backpack + T-shirt + Lapel Pin, Participants raising $125 or more will receive a Sweatshirt + Backpack + T-shirt + Lapel Pin, Participants raising $175 or more will receive a Cap + Sweatshirt + Backpack + T-shirt + Lapel Pin.

I have on my website: www.calicojunctionmuleranch.com a sponsor form you can print and use to start collecting pledges. Ask family and friends to sponsor you. You can obtain sponsors from businesses in your town ask your employer to match what you collect. The more sponsors’ you have, the better your chance of receiving the prizes listed about and the greater the benefit to the children of St. Jude. When you get folks to sponsor you it is money you do not have to come up with. Example: a friend of yours does not ride and not interested in coming to the event but would like to help out the children so she gives you $35. Another friend has a previous engagement and can't make it so they give you $150 to donate. You have now collected $185. This gets you in the gate and you are able to collect Cap + Sweatshirt + Backpack + T-shirt + Lapel Pin. And all you did was receive money from others. Cool huh.
