I have heard of that method to ask them to put their heads down -- that's what I will start doing! Thanks for your reply. Yes, we will ride!

Wow that is exactly what I'm interested in -- keeping his head low and relaxed -- but Arkansas is at least four hours from me and just too far. Will you maybe start a discussion board about how to train a gaited horse to keep their head low and relaxed? How did you do it? What works, etc.? Also, what "formula" you use to get your horse into that fabulous gait and stay there? Thanks for any help you are willing to offer! yee ha, let's ride

Howdy DeeDee, thanks for joining Tennessee Trail Riders. We look forward to your "horsey" pictures that you can post and share with others on our website. Also try your hand at posting events, videos and trail ratings. Feel free to invite friendly trail riders and horse lovers.

Cheers and happy trails,

Why are you specifically looking for 14.2? We have lots of Rockies and Kentucky Mountain horses in Tennessee. Actually, I breed Rockies but mine are all 15.1hh - 16.0hh (you can see one of them in the video of my stallions on this website). I know of a breeder in Tennessee who has a great selection of Rockies, see their website: www.mcnattfarm.com. I've purchased over a dozen horses from them and I trust them. Good luck!
